This show is so much more comedy then Solo Leveling. I did not expect that from the trailer. But I like it as that does not make it a Solo leveling clone in that sense.

The Republic of Bent is a wild name. Like they don’t sound intimating at all, like I feel like that is a republic who would bend over if the option was there lol😂

Didrik Svahn

Yeah this show makes you like it much faster I can tell. I hope that they will keep this up. Especially with balance the comedy with other parts well, to make it fit the tone of the story

Love when shows do riddles like this in service of the story their trying to tell. I think YuGiOh did this once with the liar and the truth-teller. Also to your point about the earlier webtoons, I think Tower of God and ESPECIALLY God of High School would've fared much better.

Yup, you're in it for a ride🤣I'm starting to remember as I watch this episode. Memory unfolds and I go "Oh yeah, shit, that did happened" I'm enjoying the show again but in anime format🗿I'm glad you're sold on it! thank you dad🗿

GutterSnipe1

I like the savage part myself.

This show is great i think its gunna be another one of my favorites of the week for sure. Also i do really enjoy Solo Leveling quite a bit, it is funny people treat things like you cant like both shows, i have no such problem. They are both fun and i really like this one too.

Really good stuff overall. Love how the guy at the end was like... Oh shit, it's him! And he does even realise he had been robbed 🤣

half these "fans" of anime treat things like a sporting event and it's one of the worst things to happen to anime. you can like more than one thing

Loving this show so far.

GutterSnipe1

Of all the new shows, I like this one the most.

DocteurNS

I do love that this show is made to look almost exactly like the webtoon.

DocteurNS

It's batshit crazy translation. In the Korean dub, that guy is just from Japan. What Republic of Bent? XD

Didrik Svahn

So in other words it kinda is like when Solo leveling was airing in Japan. Where they gave the characters Japanese names. To pretend that they where Japanese

DocteurNS

Oh. I didn't know the same thing happned for Solo Leveling. So in that case that means they had to do the dub twice with different names? Talk about complicating the production. I think it's kind of funny, because I remember watching French-dubbed anime as a child, with all the names localised to. Of course those Japanese high-schoolers are called Thomas, Olivier, and Louise. It makes perfect sense. But at least they didn't try to recontextualize everything in France. That seems a step to far. Interestingly, Crunchyroll doesn't even have the Japanese dub where I am (Belgium). It's English or Korean.

From what I heard during it was because. Having a Korean story showcase the Japanese government/agency. In a bad light was a sensitive subject which the reason for why they tried to censor those parts. By having the characters appear to be Japanese
