Characterwise, there is a huge overlap between Hajime and Tanya. Namely, their single minded focus on a goal and the utter ruthlessness exhibited getting there. Alignmentwise, Tanya is lawful and closer to evil than neutral, whereas Hajime is closer to true neutral but leans good. They would make a great power couple, but Tanya lacks that critical simpiness for Hajime that the other girls have. In order for it to work, Tanya would have to be the central figure, and Hajime would have to simp for her. I just don't see Tanya ever reciprocating any kind of romantic feelings. Not to mention, Victoria would try and fail to kill Hajime, Yue would try and fail to kill Tanya. But surprisingly, I think the rest of Hajime's harem would survive. Tanya would tolerate them in the same way Yue does now, but even more utilitarian, and possibly getting them killed, not intentionally, but completely apathetically. But yeah, Tanya and Hajime together could speed run Hajime's world, and then go after Being X in the process, it wouldn't even be difficult. If Yue stays in the picture at all, it would be because she changes to simp for Tanya, and then she can battle Victoria for dominance.

I love how much lawful evil Tanya is once again. In how she go about making sure to not break any wartime rule or law. But still commit the maximal amount of evil she can within that framework

The thing about “neutral” countries trying to meditate for peace. Really is so close to home in these last few years. As many country have tried to do that with various conflicts. To try and better international image and influence

no question she's evil. I'd still take her over Mary Sue. Tanya I could negotiate with

Tanya at her core is a Japanese Salaryman making the mistake of being overly logical and expecting everyone to be cogs in the machine. Of course, the Frontline doesn't want to go back to the status quo since for them it means all the bloodshed was a giant waste of time. It isn't practical, and dragging a war out is a terrible idea, but logic will go out the window when emotions are driving the car.
