Speaking of PDFs. Your YT video today... I'm getting creeped out by that guy, and I don't even know him. I really think he was lying about this whole thing because there are other examples out there—hell, even currently airing Tanya—with absolutely egregious examples of PDF characters, where it's not even questionable, and I would expect a genuine crusader to be using that as their flagship example. There's also a really weird double standard: Hollywood can straight up make villain movies, and these characters build a cult following, but putting a PDF on-screen crosses some line that we're ok with the character as long as he meets justice. If one of them ever got away, that feature would be review-bombed into oblivion. It's like straight-up mass murder, torture, etc., are fine, but specific kinds of abuse are not. Then anime comes in. Where they push the boundaries with Western sensibilities. And you got a show like Tanya, with an overt caricature of a PDF as a character who, I'll add, has not _yet_ met justice, and we're all fine with it because we're assuming he'll die and not get away. All I can say is Don't like? Don't watch. Nothing is more effective than a boycott to change a company's direction. I don't like NTR. I don't watch NTR. To Mister Dead Sister: Are you projecting guilt? Did you force your sister to watch 100 Girlfriends? Were you trying to subtly indoctrinate her into accepting your advances? I call bullshit on you. EDIT in case I buried my point: No one is forcing media on anybody. Media is a reflection of what people are willing to consume. It always has been. Yes, there's a problem with source consolidation, monopolies, and such, but that's where you let your wallet do the talking and find a different source. If a source doesn't exist, you make it. And if you do it better, you'll collapse the old generation. And if they buy you out, you do it again until the dinosaur runs out of money and it collapses from within.

A show with a healing spell that goes wrong when incorrectly casted? I've heard of "The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic", but I haven't watched it yet. Maybe it has this kind of stuff. I remember a show who pointed out that healing magic could be used for torture (to argue that not all dark magic is bad). Secrets of the Silent Witch and Witch Hat Atelier seem to have similar themes as well. In SOTSW, body modification magic is forbidden, probably because it can be horrifying when done wrong. Monica's father studied it and was persecuted for it. In WHA, a whole faction was hunted down and erased from memories because it promoted healing magic that could influence bodies. And we know how badly magic can be used from the brommed hats' actions.
