Funny enough it is their third time question the other the first time was back in season 1 where Leon had the fight with the 5 nobles he and her made remarks about how each other reminded them of their brother and sister in the past life.

fucking crazy episode, but great, the best episode so far seeing leon's father behead that dude was unexpected, then the reveal at the end with marie's sudden personality shift was funny as hell

Episode moves really fast, but honestly it doesn't feel like the pacing is bad. The political plots aren't really deep enough to need much more than what we got. It's a pretty fun watch IMO. Season 1 wrapped up at an ok stopping point, but because Leon was still being a wuss about the girls it really didn't feel very complete. Hopefully s2 will have a slightly more satisfying end, although there will still be quite a few LN volumes left after s2.

"It kind of feels like the queen is cheating on the king with him at this point." If this world openly has slave lovers, and men have a lower status than women, maybe the queen can declare Leon as her lover. Couldn't she have a harem, as long as they don't threaten the king's status? I love that ending. Slapping his sister before she could be extra annoying, with the spittle flying, that's so silly. So much happened in that episode. My favorite of the season for sure. Glad they finally discovered each other's identities.
