Told ya she would cause trouble... especially with that video. And the hilarious way Harugon just plain recoils from her when she goes full on overly attached fangirl. Psychologically speaking, Manatsu is a proper parasocial fangirl, the kind that obsesses BAD about the object of her fascination. Thus, while there is nothing inherently wrong with her liking kaijus in general, the issue is the lengths she is willing to go for her obsession, which border on self-destructive behavior. She does make it for fun "anecdotic moments" like this, but as things progress... Take, for example, that TV Producer, who essentially blackmailed Minami into stepping into the spotlight when he should've stayed the F away. She knew exactly which buttons to press to convince him and through things into chaos thanks to the declaration she made him say just to kick up the ratings. Same as Manatsu with her kaiju obsession (which adds another log to the fire that talk show sparked), this will do the exact opposite of what Minami and Kuroe wanted: to keep things on the down low. Now, however, Minami has effectively put himself in the eyes of the nation, and one thing is the public, which is a danger in and of itself with its volatile views and interests, especially if Harugon does something they view as bad, but then there are those who actively want to exploit his relationship with Harugon, like the Producer, or worse, those that see it as a mayor risk, like the government. My bet on this is that, in short order, Kotaro (Kuroe's father-like figure and senior metalhead) will be paying Minami a visit. At the end of the day, it was only a matter of time. Then there is the problem of the other hatchlings. My bet is that they will think Kuroe is their mama and... chaos. This series is going places. And fast.
