This entire arc is so good and rewards rewatches. Also answers a lot of those what if Rimuru was not there or died.

Something I really admire about Tensura is how deeply it explores soul mechanics and skills as fundamental concepts of the world. It's something that's really alien to us in the real world, but Tensura fleshes it out so well and so thoroughly that it's a convincing fundamental law of that universe, as physics is to us. Take Hinata, for example. Are her skills balance, control, and justice-related by coincidence? Or is it an intrinsic property of her soul? What came first? The skill, or Hinata's life? Does one determine the other? If so, which affects which? I guess the easy answer is that Fuze really wanted to archetype his characters, and the skill/soul system is the in-world justification for it. But it's so convincing to me that skills represent, if not entire aspects of nature, then small shards of it in the form of lesser skills, that it makes sense that the world actively matches up souls with the skills that perfectly align with their natures. If you follow what I'm saying, you could say that instead of Rimuru getting lucky with his skills à la gacha, He was always destined for them. And the wishy-washy idea of soul manipulation, like what Luminus did to Roy/Louis, and reincarnation in general starts to make a lot more sense. Mathematically speaking: A unique individual's personality lies within the soul, and that individual's soul is composed of smaller components, but the current aggregation of them represents that individual. If you make changes to that collection, you get new individuals. How different they are depends on how different the collection is. In Roy's case, he was just sliced down the middle. And when you die, how cohesive your soul is, or how strong your will is, determines how much of it remains intact for the next life. Otherwise, it disperses into its component parts and goes back into the cycle to become part of entirely different souls. Tensura world is a straight-up soul-cycling machine.

I'm sorry did Chloe really just said that Our GOAT Rimuru and our Waifu Hinata has been killed multiple times and Chloe herself is freaking trapped in a time loop 💔 😔 this really is a Homura situation 💔 😢 Oh and after watching this episode yeah I think calling Veldora an evil dragon is justified Wait wait wait Brandon if Chloe and Chronoa are one and the same doesn't that mean that Luminous has been gooning too and grooming Chloe for years 😳 great so Luminous might be on how to catch a predator in another world 🌎 😳 Um Brandon in last week's episode before Chloe and Hinata went back in time Luminous called the hero by the name Chronoa but in this episode Chloe literally said that she never had a fake name before so um last week episode was the timeline Chloe and Hinata made in this episode 😳Which means Hinata is still dead 💀 well that's sucks but God it's PEAK time travel fiction

As someone who played Blazblue, time loop shenanigans where something breaks the cycle is always hype. So different from Tokyo Revengers, Summertime Rendering, even Undead Unluck...

My guess is that the distortion Rimuru perceived after Chloe disappeared last episode was the world adjusting itself to the new time axis. Aka to the new changes that Chloe and Hinata made. Hence them being already in the new timeline. I really like how the anime is adding details like that to flesh out the story.

One could say... less bizzare stand powers... (similar concept, manifestation of ones soul)

I love Chloes love story. As the whole hero thing is really. She loves Hinata and Rimuru in which ever way she does (in case it has changed over the loops) and so does the loop to save her loved ones. Its the best because even with all those loops there is no guarantee she'll ever become Rimuru's wife. But the endless hope of the ideal future is awesome.

By the way, Unlimited Imprisonment was mentioned by Veldora in episode 1 of season 1. It's the skill that made his seal. And in season 2, Raphael used the analysis of that skill/seal(and the acquisition of it through analysis) to give Rimuru the Ultimate Skill Uriel, aka the one that gives him his Absolute Defense skill.

I love how even before the religious country of Lubelius, Luminous already had a city with humans who lived healthy and happy lives. Nightrose's elite were vampires, most of them Overcomers (daywalking ancient vampire who no longer need blood (or only need super little once in a while) and who have overcome all vampire weaknesses, hence 'Overcomers'), and none of them were rampaging vampires. BUT the majority of Nightrose's population were humans. Humans who all knew about the vampires and who ruled them (Luminous). The only difference now with Lubelius is that the vampires and Luminous are kept secret. Back in the times of Nightrose, it was actually more beneficial for it to be known that she was ruling that city state. Because it made possible enemies not attack in fear of her power. But once humans started forming countries in those regions, her being known instead becomes disadvantageous. After all, most humans fear vampires, and even more so one who is a Demon Lord.

Chloe remembers stuff about previous loops, but she only remembers everything for the immediately previous loop. I think the point of confusion here that some people have (about the loops) is that when Chloe refers to the previous loop, she means the previous time she was sent to the past, and that when she was sent Rimuru had already dies. As for the one with Rimuru alive, she experienced it as a kid. The previous loop has Chloe as a kid when Rimuru died, and then go back in time with Hinata, AND it includes everything she did for the next 2000 years. The present time of the story is just the start of her journey every loop. Then this time this new loop started with her as a kid and then Rimuru became a demon lord and was still alive when Hinata died. And NOW continuing this new loop she is attempting to do almost everything the same as the previous loop during those 2000 years in order to get the same present in her next time as a kid.

I’m still confused ngl lmao

Wondering what Hinata has to do with it like why is she the “spark” in her death??
