Translation factor. Hito=man Kami or Gami= God. Hitogami= man god Hitokami= human God Grammarical difference I think.

But what advice does Rudy seek from Nanohoshi? Will the letter reach Eris in time? What does antagonizing the Man God do... if we just ignore him afterwards? Did Orstead purposefully avoid Rudy in the first timeline? But yes pops if you read my messages and were confused by the rats mention... this episode is the Rat I meant.

bloodiOS

That was painful to watch.

Yeah that was great, really great episode here. So tahts it. Turning points don't always have to be life threatining desasters. But now we have seen Rudy being able to time travel. He didn't do it perfectly, but he still did it. So what can Orsted to? What can Hitogami do? Who knows. But now we know for certain why he didn't want us to go save dad. I think it is the child. If Roxy would have died if we didn't go to the labyrinth, Hitogami would have lied. But when its about their child, she could really have survived, saved by some stranger and fallen in love with him.

Man-God (ヒトガミ, Hitogami) vs Human God (人神 (ジンシン), Hito-shin (Jinshin)) It's something that loses a bit in translation. ヒトガミ is in katakana. Traditionally, it should be written in kanji as 人神. Authors frequently use Katakana for character names to make them stand out, give them an otherworldly feel, or signify that they are a proper noun. In Mushoku Tensei, the linguistic play between 人神 versus ヒトガミ serves as a masterclass in narrative wordplay and world-building. In Mushoku Tensei, every other god or deity uses On'yomi (the Chinese-derived readings of kanji) for their names. For example: Dragon God = Ryūjin (竜神) Demon God = Majin (魔神) Water God = Suijin (水神) To a native Japanese reader, reading 人神 as Hitogami sounds incredibly casual, almost blunt. By having the kanji display the grandiose title of Jinshin while forcing the reading Hitogami, it perfectly mirrors the entity's personality: a terrifying, ancient cosmic force (Jinshin) trying desperately to act like a casual, trustworthy buddy (Hitogami) to manipulate Rudeus.

Gomasen !

After last week's episode I couldn't take it and went to read the source material, only one thing to say, brandon im amazed you picked up on the Roxy thing so early. Also, if was so shocked by all these revelations in the light novel or even watching this episode I couldn't register how funny that Eris line was until i saw you reaction "sure I cheated a bit, but I still love you" 😂😂😂. Mushoku tensei turning into attack on titan out of nowhere

I did contemplate what it could be and potential sicknesses probably did also cross my mind 🤔

How much do you wanna bet that Man-God lied about Paul surviving had Rudeus not been there. Think about it, the only reason they were able to navigate that dungeon was because of the book Rudeus found in the university's library, Rudeus was the only one to figure out there was a hidden floor that led to the boss room, and it was Rudeus who came up with the idea to cauterize the severed heads of the manatite hydra so they couldn't grow back.

I believe Rudeus once mentioned he used to see the fantasy world like a video game, but this new turn of event is starting to make me think that it is much closer to the truth than I thought. Orsted seems to know the scenario, he maxed out all the combat techniques like he's in creative mode, and he is supposed to have appeared like a hundred years ago. Man-God is stuck in limbo but can observe the world and interact with people a bit, plus the ability to know multiple futures (although I suspect he was lying when he said Paul would have saved Roxy). And now, the bad timeline thing makes me think of branching path video games which have specific moments determining which direction the story will take (the "turning points").

Jesus, the way he felt his stomach last episode and said "No, I failed", and how he stroked it again at 0:49 in this episode, all that to discover at the end why... I've seen a couple other reactors who noticed that Man-God seemingly tried to avoid Rudy meeting Roxy several times, and now it is clear that he needs her dead. You're probably right about her child being a threat to Man-God. She is getting Sarah Connored. "I've got no mana left." Rudy, the guy who made several overpowered beings either marvel or be disgusted at his level of mana, had to exhaust all of it to use time travel...

Vibal

I'm thinking Rudy would show Nanahoshi the diary, since it is written in Japanese. Maybe a diary from someone who managed to teleport back in the past would be very valuable for somebody who wants to teleport back to another dimension. That would help her keep her hope to return.
