The Author is like: "Use the Evil Cycle Iruma for an intense arc like the Harvest Festival? Screw that! Let's use it when he is crossdressing in a massive idol arc instead!" And it's fucking fantastic. Genuinely haven't laughed like that for a long time

Glad you are having a good time with this season! Personally, I think that you would actually really enjoy the next season, since the "main arc" is more similar to the Harvest Festival in terms of having more action and progressing the "main plot"

Let's Talk K-Pop

There’s the “one thing” I’ve been referring to - evil cycle Iruma is back! Makes sense as to why you prefer previous seasons. I think it’s the amount of filler episodes in the middle that contributed to that feeling. I do think s4 is best in terms of animation quality. I am neutral on the fillers. There were some episodes I really enjoyed (jazz’s familiar and Azz-lied interaction, the misfits getting drunk at Iruma’s house, Iruma’s birthday). There’s the sets of two episodes exploring one event (9-10 focuses on kiriwo; 17-18 on the demon king). I do prefer this season more than s1. Maybe this season is around the same level as seasons 2 and 3 for me. Depends on how many episodes I think are solid for each season
