I think Alicia passed the second trial or came very close if the cult leader managed to stop the trial in time. Great episode.

it's crazy she was able to do so without anything too bad happening to her, this show LOVES to make her suffer. makes it feel way more rewarding this way

14:30 I don't know why I want to yell "TIMBER!" when I watch this moment. But on the serious side... amazing episode. At first, because I watch this series on Wednesdays when ReZero airs, I couldn't help but feel that the impact of this episode was a bit "muted", but then again, we had the Awesome conclusion of the Julius arc yesterday, any other emotional moment would feel as if it had the volume turned down after THAT. But once I rewatched it today on your little corner screen, I reafirm once more what I thought the moment I saw this episode: Peak. Perfectly executed Peak. I'm seriously complementing this series when I say that Clevatess executed this "reconciliating with the past" scene with the same masterful skill as ReZero did the first test of the Sanctuary back in Season 2, when Subaru also confronted his past with his own parents. I love the contrasts and similarities between Alicia and Subaru, and the way they tackled a similar trial. For Subaru it was a moment to begin maturing in the truest sense of the word, but to Alicia it was a moment for her to remind herself Why she does what she does and endures that bone-crunching suffering time and time again. Not all confrontations with the past end with a fight, but that does not make them less impactful. Awesome episode, where everyone got a moment to really take a step. I so want a Season 3. PD: Being a twin myself, me and my bro have done that "talk at the same time" party trick So. Many. Times. 'Cause we love the way people flinch. Ah, twin humor...

This episode reminded me of infinity train (I think that arc?) when Tanjiro gets his “ideal scenario” dream thing—especially since they both revolve around the mc’s family ties (and lost loved ones etc)
