Definitely a solid stopping point. Happy they animated the next lady from the next book. Give me some hope. Tho they haven’t made the next volume in manga so I’m very nervous because of that. They I think made a few chapters but not released a volume. I think the manga drawer stopped on volume 13 so I hope they get someone to replace them.

I think I figured it out. The plot twist is that the main character is a self-insert of the author. Which is why he got so pissy about the way the MC looks specifically, and also why the MC is just generally stupid and some of his love life decisions. This all circles right back around to the first couple episodes with some of those very uncomfortable character defects. Someone should go check on the author make sure he's okay.

I'm not sure whether I understood your comment correctly, but on the off-chance that I did, there actually is a continuation of the manga, just under a different artist and a different name. The name is "Otome Game Sekai wa Mob ni Kibishii Sekai desu (Kyouwakoku-hen)" [translated to Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs (Republic Arc)] and you can find 12 translated chapters for it as far as I'm aware. (I've also at least seen the cover images for volumes 1 and 2, so those should exist aswell.)

1) Love that Darth Livia is still there. She'd grate on me if she were only the optimistic goody-two-shoes "saint", so her being possessive actually gives it some much needed spice. 2) Hobosexuals is an awesome and extremely fitting term to describe our idiotic power-ranger-quintet. 3) Having the hobosexuals still around makes me happy, they're great for comedic value alone.

I'm glad the MC finally got married, even though he had to be forced into it. A bit of a shame that he didn't get to use the love meter on both his throuple members, and I almost expected the marriage to be for the queen, but oh well.
