If I wasn't mistaken, this is the same funny enough both anime studio (c2c) and the band (FZMZ) that did the opening as Shangri-La frontier. So the good music for the Op is not surprising seeing that it's them

Bro... I also forgot we had a shadow familiar... Just goes to show how long ago S1 was... I remember like the main points of S1 but not all the details so it's going to be fuzzy watching this to remember it all but I had a blast... I forgot how good the OST is for this show and both the OP and Ed slap. And the OST while they were riding the skeleton was really great. I'm so happy C2C has continued to animate this show... Such a great studio and such a great show.

you really dont need a recap, I dont remember s1 well but all you really need to know is sword dad looks after gremlin and they go adventuring

Season 1 Fran is as ruthless as she is adorable. If you don't remember it, it does make for a good rewatch because some of the stuff that happens is pretty insane. She has no issue harming people or even brutally killing them when necessary. Overall this is very much a classic action-adventure shounen. The main characters meet new characters every arc, some returning ones as well here & there and they have an adventure involving those characters, usually with an epic conclusive battle. Really the manga keeps up the good quality and pacing. I'm very happy with season 2, but I hope it doesn't stop there. Season 3? Season 4? They would all be awesome.

What I mainly remember of season 1, is that this show was pretty edgy at times. Plus that it was no way near the top shows of that anime season. But I’m still a bit excited to see what this season will bring

Last season we had Beryl as the master swordsman who's becoming a father to Mewy, this season we have a Master Sword become father to a Murder-Kitty. Close enough!

Glad the animation quality has kept the same level or even improved upon Season 1! The OP blew me away, I was NOT expecting it to go THAT hard, and also the CG in this looks decent too!
