the biggest issue is it feels like you could skip to s3 after watching s1 and lose nothing, so s2 feels like a filler season. cliffhanger at the end has me interested; not sure if I'll watch more out of 10

Why they choose to butcher storylines then stitch them back together hap-hazardly for this series I will Never know. S1 had the context for this season removed from it. So this season then most of the context for I DONT KNOW THE MAIN THREAT chopped up and reduced. This series has a team that needs to learn how to cut less and do more. All excuses are negated by seeing the comparative works of Mushoku Tensei/RE:Zero/Reincarnated as a slime; all that have more content and yet get less cut. Could give 2 shits bout graphics; but murdering a story by ripping out its heart or brain is just dumb. Don't get me wrong I still am having fun with this series; but I also know how much better it should of been.

This is so weird as episode 11 really felt like the final episode. With it climax fight and all so I thought for a moment that I already had finished watching this season. Which normally is not a good sign lol

I will say season 1 was much more interesting and better. As they had more of a political angle there, especially with saving that princess by bringing her back to life. Changing history in a way. But here it always was pushed to the side at best. All to mainly focus on the ninja arc. Which honestly was not as interesting. It may be mean to say that I was not that invested in her brother and the mystery around it. As they just did introduce him in passing and flashbacks here. That did not cut it for me to have an emotional connection to it. Especially as they tried to force the importance by having him and her appear so heavily in the ED. So yeah he felt more like a red shirt that already was dead as the arc started.

Also how does not Arc react to people openly teasing Aridene. With the fact that now it will sound like they are married with their last name. Even autism can no longer be an excuse by this point which is saying a lot. And makes Arc appear all the more stupid😫

I remember liking S1 but yeah this season was watchable but it was just painfully average idk I hope that the anime with the kinda undead guy is more consistent with its first to second season (I forgot the name but the guy has bluish hair and started out as skeleton and is hoping to restore his body to a more full human form)

I bingewatched season 1, but I struggled watching the last few episodes of season 2. A shame, really. And I can't precisely put my finger on what lost me at some point. Still happy I discovered season 1 though.
