Not gonna lie, I did not expect her muscles to FUCKING EXPLODE WHAT. I knew this show was brutal from Season 1, but holy shit. Also the CGI skeleton never took me out of the episode at all, and it looked really good the entire episode, very happy with how this turned out! On a side note, a common alternative title to this show people use is "Sword Dad and Murder Kitten", which I love

Is this top three of the shows this season? Because this episode was so well animated. Best combat scene that I have seen the whole season. And dare I say it one of top 10 for this year. As they put so much details into it and I loved every moment of it😍

I barely remember the action scenes from season 1. But I think they were closer to average for that season compared to what the top shows delivered. Either way this looks so much better then what I remember season 1 looking

I didn't even notice the 3D. I was watching some other folks review the first episode. I think the consensus is really, "Holy shit, I forgot this show was peak." On one hand, I want all my favorites to get this treatment. The ones I know have really engaging stories but botched adaptations. But on the other hand, Sword Dad has no business being this good considering the fanbase. The disparity between good anime and bad anime is wild to me. I still think OCB is apples and oranges to Sword Dad. OCB wins the "realistic" swordplay, but Sword Dad wins the fantasy sword fight. Clayman second form got crushed like 2 minutes into the final episode. Fran gave us an entire episode for the battle. I have no idea how they're going to win this unless Teacher pulls out another perfect skill upgrade. Side note: I'm convinced that someone on the team has a fetish for injuring Fran. That damage was explicit. And the whole mind fuck was horrifying as well, and they just used it to give her a lethal "what if". I can't look away.

Yeah the amount of detail and effort they put into, making Fran suffer. Really makes me think that someone really wants to capture those scenes of Fran getting f_cked. From the animation department, as they where really cooking during those scenes

This episode is the warm up fight. Next week the one I really wanted to see. Admittedly this fight felt less theatric than the LN; but I blame that one on my imagination and not the animators.

Yeah one of the most brutal parts of season one was when the greater demon cut her arms off and sword dad had to quickly reattach them

This show never fails to amaze me... How the hell do they make a fight this good looking and making Fran's pain feel so real... Like that scene with her legs rupturing and her arms nearly exploding. And that nightmare in her head when they got teleported... That shit was terrifying. I do think that S2 is even better animated than S1 but I still think S1 was really damn good as well. I would definitely agree that if you run this battle 10 times... Fran is losing at least 8 of them. What's also crazy Fran is 12 years old and she's getting put through more pain than someone who has been adventuring their entire life and then some. This is why Sword Dad is 10/10 just because it has such great battles and great chemistry between the two main leads and even the supporting cast is really good too. If you didn't see... They actually did a collaboration visual between Reincarnated as a Sword and Old country Bumkin. So PEAK respects PEAK. Also this is exactly why I wanted C2C to continue animating this show because they do such an amazing job st animating it.

I believe the thing you mentioned about Fran getting severely wounded was during the fight against the demon. He cut both her arms and Master reattached them while she was panicking. I thought a second hard battle would be too much, but Fran filled up on curry. I hope this has restored all her strength.
