When I saw the Merlin push notification I knew I had to watch it immediately. It did not disappoint! I can’t wait to see it all working

clabretro

just wait until we get those classic merlin ringtones going

I was hearing those in my head. I ran into a Merlin Plus unit at the thrift store here in Vegas one day. I kick myself for not buying it on the spot, but it had no phones or anything else with it.

Never seen that Linksys NAS before, but I like it! I assume the Giga in the name is because it has gigabytes of capacity? I hope you can get it running, I would certainly like to see what the software looks like. But more importantly - does it stack?

clabretro

at the very least, we better stack it

Tip for devices with unknown static ip, I run netdiscover on a raspberry with usb ethernet adapter, it will list every ip that responds. Also have ladvd on all my raspberrys to send cdp notification to switches so I can see where they are connected with sh cdp ne

I've had luck with netdiscover before! Might end up trying that on this thing.

Haven’t used one of these since the early 2000s. They were selling Partner systems at least through the early 2010s; I set one up as new around then.
