Weekly Recap: June W3 (Patreon)
Content
Good day Captains!
After careful consideration, we've lowered the cost of the weekly updates! Now Captains will be able to enjoy our little ramblings and catch more sneak peaks. Completely removing the Engineer tier, we've instead bumped the updates to Captain to make the barrier to entry less considerable. We still want to support our artists, but we also want to be able to share all the cool details with you guys.
In other related news, we've refined our goals and timelines after a successful group meeting, and hope to engage in the project with new zeal and passion. I wasn't just dusting cobwebs, you see, I was also doing back end work on our timelines and our sense of direction, reorganizing things and discussing passions with the team. Everyone seems a lot more hopeful for the project, and we're hoping to be able to release a shard of the mod in the next month or so.
Now back on topic:
3D has been hard at work baking textures and creating the animations for not only creatures, but also some tech. One of our precursor objectives is nearing completion, pending textures and animations, and we're completing the work on some of our early development creatures.
2D has their creative ideas overflowing and I couldn't be prouder. Not only sketching several passes at a new biome, but coming to a finalized color palette and filling it with creatures. Also have further development on the Pearly Brine Pools, mentioned in our previous Devlog as the home of the Snootfish.
Sound lab has been hard at work on both tech swooshes and alien garble. Trying to decipher it all is interesting, and kinda surprised how many revisions these things can go through!
Modding team has been steady at work implementing the hydra changes, new statuses, and our finalized creatures, so lets not ignore their hard efforts.
And with that, I will bid you welcome and adieu,
-V
