Here are some ideas for creatures the team had! Some are obviously more fleshed out than others, but let us know what you think or your ideas below! :)

Maybe the squids could eventually get a crack in their shell from using it to drill and could drop it to search for a new one. Maybe this shell would fall to pieces when dropped and turn into a resource that can be picked up. This could be just crystal, or could be something exclusive to that encounter like etched crystal. Almost like a cotv equivelent to stalker teeth

Oxygen and seaside together? That sounds a bit op. There's not even much of a tradeoff possible for it.

LitNothin

Spiders sounds nice, feels like they'd own their own biome

Honestly I woulda thought the lumisioden would have a more important role than being a crystal source

Biblically accurate fish 😂😂 that needs to be a giant boom fish with just eyes everywhere.

Cool that's a long list cause while the big scary things are the most interesting, for every 1 of those there needs to be like 5 regular environmental only creatures to make the world feel alive and the scary things scarier

So one thing i notice is the frog thing (just correct me if we're not supposed to comment on the blurred ones) A frog's whole shtick is being suited for amphibious mobility, but in a void environment, specifically meant to be deep sea, I don't see that translating well as you'd effectively be introducing a frog that can fly. A workaround to this could be a biome with a denser layer of ocean. My first thought was something similar to Haloclines, "common in water-filled limestone caves near the ocean. Less dense fresh water from the land forms a layer over salt water from the ocean. For underwater cave explorers, this can cause the optical illusion of air space in caverns." Instead of this being merely an optical illusion, there could easily be a more dense liquid produced by some of the islands (maybe a byproduct of the floaters) in a similar biome to the lost river, that actively makes movement more difficult for all but these frogs and their tadpoles. These frogs aren't very capable of swimming through the void, as they've evolved to maneuver through these denser areas rather than the open sea, and do not stray far from these pools as they provide the perfect nesting grounds for their tadpoles as they are harder to access by predators. But of course, they're actively feeding off supposed floater bile, so why not give them some floater properties? These frogs can inflate their lungs and vocal sack much like the airbladder to save themselves both from predators and falling off the edge of these islands, reducing to only upwards mobility for a short burst, before they have to regulate because the water is too thin high up (much like how humans struggle to adapt to higher altitudes because of how thin the air is) Regardless, all of this is just my dm worlbuilding brain going off the rails and I don't expect a response or any of this to be taken into consideration.
