The sounds of lasers firing one after another fills the void of space as I move to float above the ship facing the swarms of space-faring Frozen Ones flying through space towards us. With each one having the power of a Tier 3 Frozen One at the very least. But also with several Tier 4 Frozen Ones amongst their number as well.
Most of the Frozen Ones all look rather similar. With them being humanoids made out of smooth ice and no sexual characteristics flying through space with some sort of mask on their faces. Masks without any mouths or noses.
Just two glowing eyes.
The masks are also angular in shape, with two extended points on the top left and right corners, and a single triangular point at the bottom of their mask going down past their chins.
Finally, each one of the Frozen Ones have really long, bluish white hair reminiscent of a ghost.
The Frozen Ones aren’t alone, though, as there are numerous soldiers of the empire flying through space attacking them as well. Each one being a Tier 4 Symbiont Host except for Dad, who is Tier 5.
Terminal, show me my current statistics.

\End of Analysis/
It’s still shocking how quickly I’ve reached Tier 4, considering how it was only a short time ago that I was just a regular person.
I turn to look at the Frozen Ones swarming through space at the ship, and at the blizzard blowing throughout space around us and the ship. Then I extend my wings, which were absorbed into my body moments ago before flying through the air straight at the Frozen Ones. With heat energy firing off in a burst from my wings.
The Tier 3 Frozen Ones hit by my solar flare instantly begin to melt away, turning into a misty ice. Meanwhile the Tier 4 Frozen Ones melt a little, but their own cold energy fights against my heat energy. Keeping them from dying as they continue pushing through towards me.
And when the Tier 4 Frozen Ones manage to get close enough, I send several arcs of cold energy flying through space at them. Meanwhile they begin sending frigid mist at me. Mist that tries to freeze me, only for it to not do all that much damage thanks to my cold immunity, which makes me immune to half the damage any cold energy might do to me.
I send out another solar flare before rushing straight at the Frozen Ones and tearing each one apart with my claws while they’re defending against my heat energy. Meanwhile Snow, who is jumping around outside of the ship as well, is tearing apart Frozen Ones of her own with her jaws. Clearly enjoying herself.
When I finish defeating the Frozen Ones targeting me, I take a moment to absorb their energy while glancing at the rest of the battlefield. Where I see an entire swarm of Frozen Ones rushing through the blizzard toward us. One made up of hundreds upon hundreds of Tier 4 Frozen Ones.
I blink at the sight while still absorbing energy.
Just a few seconds later, though, I see Dad flying out into the open in the direction of the swarm. Only for him to suddenly release massive amounts of heat energy, melting away the entire blizzard around the ship in the process. And when the heat energy clashes with the Frozen Ones, it quickly belts them as loud screeches fill the space.
Although I’m not entirely sure how it is I’m hearing in space. Considering that sound generally needs air or wind to travel.
And there’s no air or wind in space.
Is it because of the blizzard?
Probably.
That’s the only thing that comes to mind.
Anyway, the screeches quickly cut off when the Frozen Ones are incinerated at a rapid pace. Making me feel slightly disappointed, considering how much of a waste that is.
All that energy, just burnt away without a trace left behind…
I let out a sigh before noticing Dad glancing at me every now and then while making his report to Uncle Rainald. Almost like Dad is trying to see if his showing off impressed me or not.
Please tell me he didn’t waste all of that energy just to show off to me…
That possibility grows stronger and stronger with every hopeful glance he sends me. Eventually leading me to sigh again before turning around and heading back into the ship now that the Frozen One swarm out in space is dealt with. Along with all of the shards.
And speaking of shards, I’m still rather surprised that they managed to engineer this ship to be immune to those things.
The ship clearly has some sort of heat energy coating its exterior, with cold energy coating that. And I think it’s using the cold energy as camouflage and the heat energy as a barrier for the shards, but I’m not sure.
Seeing as I’m not an engineer.
After seeing me heading back inside, Snow jumps down towards me before rubbing her head against my side. So I pat her on the head with a faint smile without pausing.
I wasn’t expecting space to be far more dangerous than the planet was.
But it does at least make for a good source of energy.
I glance at the messages about my stats increasing with a smile.
A very good source of energy.
