Aqua
When I eventually wake up, I find myself lying comfortably in my bed back at home. Safely tucked away from anyone.
I blink once. Then twice.
Then I begin to sit up, only briefly noticing that I’m still wearing my armor. Although it’s clean without any blood or anything like that. No doubt because I’ve been fighting in the ocean.
It’s kind of hard to get bloody in the ocean after all.
I close my eyes to sense my surroundings, only to find that I still have an abyssal servant summoned. But after checking them in my mind, I realize they’re not an abyssal servant.
My eyes open.
It’s the Abyssal Lord I created out of the Bloodliner.
An Abyssal Lord…
The lord seems to have been guarding the entrance of my base for a while. Not letting even a single person inside. And there are a few corpses outside as well. Albeit not very many of them.
After focusing on the entrance with my senses – and looking through a screen showing the view of the security cameras for a clearer view – I return my focus inwards as I open my skills list. With my Abyssal Ruler skill open in particular to show its details.
[REQUESTING SKILLS: USER AQUA AZURANTH]

[Skill 8: Devourer of the Abyss]

[Skill 10: Abyssal Ruler]
[Description: Abyssal Ruler allows the user five chances to extract Abyssal Copy blueprints of dead beings near the user. All dead beings have different chances of success when extracting, varying based on their level and power compared to the user. Furthermore, after successful extractions, the Abyssal Copy’s blueprint of the being is placed in an infinite storage to be used to create the Abyssal Copy of the being whenever the user wishes so long as they are within water. This Abyssal Copy will copy the physical strength and all physical traits of the original being without any of the being’s magical skills, traits, or sapience.]
[Hidden Effect Revealed: The user may summon five types of special abyssal servants in addition to the regular abyssal servants. These five types include: Abyssal Lords, Abyssal Phantoms, Abyssal Warriors, Abyssal Mages, and Abyssal Beasts.]
[Hidden Effect Revealed: The user may obtain Abyssal Lord blueprints through infecting a Bloodliner with the Ruler’s Venom, transforming them directly into an Abyssal Lord and granting the user their Abyssal Lord blueprint. Abyssal Lords may be summoned without any time limit, retain intelligence from when they were alive, are absolutely loyal to the user, and may level up even after becoming Abyssal Lords. They may command all other abyssal servants beneath them and act as the Abyssal Ruler’s generals. However, Abyssal Lords cost significantly more mana than regular abyssal servants to summon.]
[Cost: Abyssal Ruler costs 30 mana to use. However, it is activated for every dead being within a range around the user that can be expanded through using more mana. Additionally, summoning Abyssal Copies costs 5 mana per copy. And once the mana making up their bodies is expended, the summoned copy will dissipate until the user spends 5 more mana to summon another.]
[Cooldown: Abyssal Ruler has no cooldown. However, it cannot be used more than five times on a single dead being, and only one copy can be summoned at a time from each blueprint.]
[Skill 11: Light of the Abyss]
[Skill 12: Claw of the Abyssal Kraken]
[Skill 13: Ink of the Abyssal Kraken]
[Skill 14: Abyss]
[Skill 15: Abyssal Transformation]
[Skill 16: Abyssal Plague]
[Skill 17: Aquatic Tide]
[Skill 18: Abyssal Purge]
[END SKILLS]
Okay, so it looks like there are five special types of abyssal servants. And Abyssal Lords are just one of them.
As for the part about the Abyssal Lords specifically? There doesn’t seem to be anything in there that wasn’t already mentioned by the notification before I fell unconscious. Other than the higher mana cost, that is.
And I’m guessing the other special abyssal servants will reveal their details once I actually get the blueprint of one? Since the Abyssal Lord revealed its details after I got an Abyssal Lord blueprint from the Bloodliner.
That’s just a guess, but it’s probably right.
The question is how I get the other special types.
I have a guess for one of them, but the others are a complete mystery.
As for the one I’m suspecting? Since Bloodliners give a special type of abyssal servant, most likely the Ancient Monsters who their Bloodlines come from should as well.
And Abyssal Beast sounds about right for those.
Of course, I won’t be able to test this theory for a very long time. Since that would require me infecting and turning an Ancient Monster into an abyssal servant. Which I can’t really see happening.
Those things are just far too powerful.
Anyway, I stretch a little bit before leaving my room and heading towards the entrance. And when I arrive, I find the Abyssal Lord standing at attention. Quietly and without a word.
“Do you want to be called by your old name or do you want a new one?” I ask while tilting my head slightly.
The Abyssal Lord’s eyes flash slightly with purple light as he answers, “Please give me a new name, Ruler.”
That’s good. I don’t even remember what his original name was.
It would’ve been awkward if he wanted to keep that name.
Then again, he probably would’ve remembered it. So I could’ve just gotten him to say it somehow and then acted like I remembered it from the start.
Or I could’ve just asked the chat.
Anyway, what to call him…
I try to think of a name for a little while before eventually settling on one.
“Your name will be Vir,” I state with a nod of my head.
I got the inspiration for it from the ocean that the original Bloodliner turned into a poison ocean, along with the Abyssal Lord’s poison powers. Shortening the name they used for that viridian ocean into just Vir.
“Thank you, Ruler,” Vir says, his voice coldly echoing through the waters somehow as he bows his head in gratitude.
“Now, could you give me an update about everything that’s happened since I fell unconscious?” I half ask, half order with a slight tilt of my head while glancing at the chat.
A chat that is currently going wild with messages about me having woken up and all that. With some people trying to answer the question I just asked. But I’d rather get a clear answer from Vir than an unclear one from them.
So I focus on Vir as he begins to describe what has occurred since.
And what he tells me ends up being both surprising and not actually all that surprising at the same time.
Some of the natives threw a fit about me becoming their System recognized ruler while most of them just accepted it. And while the Guildmasters tried to stop idiots from attacking, a few idiots still tried to attack, only to be slaughtered by Vir here without hesitation.
After that, no more idiots came. Then spaceships started appearing in the skies outside of the planet’s atmosphere. Clearly visible at night.
And it’s not just one or two, but hundreds of spaceships of all sizes. No doubt belonging to people wanting to enter the planet.
None of them can enter the planet though, since they require my permission to do so.
It also doesn’t help that the maximum level for the planet is only around level two hundred fifty to three hundred ish. Strongly limiting those who can come even if they get my permission.
Other than that, there wasn’t anything else to report. So I look at the menus in the corner of my vision.
Because there’s a new one there. An inbox for messages.
From what I understand, it’s a feature given to any user who fits one of a few different requirements.
Reach level one thousand.
Become an Official Pioneer.
Or become the owner of a planet.
Any of these three will receive the inbox feature, allowing them to send out and receive messages from other users with the feature.
And my inbox is currently flooded with messages. No doubt from people requesting permission to enter the planet amongst other things.
I let out a sigh.
This is gonna be annoying.
