This intermission is actually longer than the usual intermission, albeit still a little bit shorter than a normal chapter.

Anyway, I just put in the commission for the official Crimson Eternal Book 1 Cover from Kart Studio :)

This will be the official commissioned cover I'll be using for Amazon.

Within the Demon King’s Castle

The Demon King watches through the many fallen demons being born around the destroyed galaxy as the two Horsemen of the Apocalypse clash. Feeling genuine fear at their power as he does so. But also feeling a hint of anticipation.

Ever since he managed to claim that wisp of Famine’s power, his own power has skyrocketed. It’s also allowed him to finally establish a base of his own. One that is extremely difficult for anyone other than a Horseman to find.

Of course, if a Horseman did try to find it, they would find it almost immediately.

All they would have to do is follow the pure Famine energy that shouldn’t exist.

But none of them are interested in me.

This has been the Demon King’s saving grace ever since he came into existence. The fact that none of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse have any interest in him.

Although he does regret that the one Horseman who isn’t a threat to him right now isn’t interested in joining forces with him. The two of them are so similar, after all.

The Fallen Demon King can claim scraps of the powers belonging to the recently fallen, the dead, while the Horseman of Death can claim the souls of the dead. He can claim significantly weaker versions of their powers, while she can claim a portion of the energy they once had and make sure they never get revived.

They’re a perfect match.

And yet, she has no interest in dealing with him. Meanwhile the forces around her meticulously guard her from him as well.

In the end, he’s left standing alone. Just like every Demon King before him.

He had hoped it would be different for him. That he could find someone to work together with for a shared goal. To not be utterly alone in his pursuit of domination. Of the fall of everything.

And the Horseman of Death’s birth just centuries before his own gave him this hope. Since she a Horseman of Death has never existed for any of the previous Demon Kings’ reigns.

But that hope was dashed.

The Demon King scowls at the sight of the Horseman of Death lying around watching the battle between the other two Horsemen. Simply without a care in the universe.

He can’t hold a grudge against her for long, though. Not when she is still the most similar being in the universe to him.

And, while she won’t work with him, she also doesn’t attack him. Unlike the other beings of the universe.

That might be enough.

With that thought in mind, the Demon King soon returns to making his own preparations as he walks out to the balcony of his throne room to look at the grand army standing in front of him. One made up of fallen demons for as far as the eye can see.

An entire sea of them.

Endless and powerful.

The Demon King narrows his eyes at his vast army of demons, all of whom are at least level five hundred, before raising his hand, clenching his fist, and sweeping it out horizontally in front of him. Then he declares, “Begin your hunt!”

Moments later, the fallen demons all across the planet begin to vanish one after another. Only for them to reappear in thousands of different places across the universe. All before beginning their assault on the natives of each planet they appear on.

Officially beginning the next offensive by the Demon King.

Meanwhile the Demon King himself nods his head in satisfaction, sends out numerous clones of himself to attack as well, and then returns his attention to the vision of the fallen demons watching the battle of the two Horsemen.

A battle that doesn’t care at all about the chaos he is now causing across the universe, unlike the numerous humans he can see outside of the galaxy who were watching their battle and are now urgently moving to handle his offensive.

The Demon King’s lips begin to inch upwards into a cold smile at the sight. Because he knows they won’t be able to stop his offensive before several nations begin to crumble. His attack is just too fast, and their forces are all focused on the two Horsemen right now.

On top of that, with his offensive, they won’t be able to focus on the two Horsemen as much. Giving the two more freedom to fight and eventually kill each other for the Demon King to take full advantage of in the end.

The Demon King glances at the Horseman of Death to see if she does anything, but she doesn’t even seem to notice what he’s doing. Much less take action to stop it.

She just continues to read whatever book she is currently reading while occasionally glancing at the battle going on in front of her, having recently finished giving an interview to a news station.

A tiny part of the Demon King feels mildly awkward at the sight of her not even noticing his grand plan. But he soon shakes his head to dislodge that thought as he turns around and begins to control the energy in the air to form more fallen demons. And not just around his planet, but across the entire universe.

Those fallen demons then join in on the assault in various other locations. Some of which are used to trick the humans into believing those locations are parts of the offensive, while others are genuine parts of the offensive.

Of course, he avoids attacking any planet belonging to the Horseman of Death, and he avoids any of her cafés.

He’s not stupid enough to do what the Horseman of Pestilence did.

To him, those cafés are untouchable grounds that he is not allowed to attack.

He glances back at Aria again, only to surprisingly find her looking at a news report about his current offensive. But before he can feel any anticipation about her reaction, she just turns the news report back off and continues reading.

Leaving him awkwardly watching in silence for a few seconds.

If I want to get her attention, I’ll probably have to attack her cafés… And I can’t do that.

He shakes his head at the thought before refocusing on making more fallen demons. Deciding to just ignore Aria for now.

To just let her do 'Aria things,' as the internet calls her actions.

If you attack her Café your grand plan will be over before it begins.

Yup, lol...but I'm pretty sure he also realizes just that. XD
