Within the Gaia World Council Chamber

Soon after the message from the System arrives announcing the end of the World Council, the various factions scattered across the chamber begin to leave their booths and move towards other booths where they begin establishing connections. But, no matter how busy they are with their own affairs, most of them still keep an eye on the top few layers of the chamber.

Specifically on the Void Crowne, who finally stands up from his booth and heads down to a lower layer.

Even the Orc King and Zelbar Queen keep an eye on him as he moves. All the way until he arrives at a booth on a much lower layer, where several humans from higher layer booths are currently arriving at the same time.

Soon after he arrives, several non-human species begin to show up at the booth as well. Including the top craftsman, Draxion Heliosynth, along with some other dwarves, witches, elves, and wraths.

All of whom are representatives of their own cities.

Once no more representatives arrive, the booth itself seals itself up to block others from viewing inside of it. But not before the various people in the chamber overhear the Void Crowne mentioning one thing that shocks more than a few of them.

The Void Crowne’s sister is a human.

Thanks to the sheer size of the planet and the little information gathered by them about the Void Crowne, most users of the planet don’t know much about him. All they know is that he is a Unique Lifeform and is an absolute ruler of the voidlings, the most numerous species on their planet.

And yet, now they all hear that he has a human sister.

Several species immediately assume they are not blood related. Specifically the species that look down on humans, like the orcs and zelbar. But others who are beneficial towards humans, like dwarves, elves, and witches, all begin to wonder if his species may have changed after the System arrived. Since instances of people’s species changing upon the awakening of their Bloodline have appeared all across the planet already.

But regardless of their thoughts on the matter, the vast majority of the people in the chamber watching make a mental note not to bother his sister’s System City. Automatically placing it under the voidlings’ protection in their mind.

The only ones who don’t show any care whatsoever are the Orc King and Zelbar Queen, neither of whom believe family matters for anything beyond power.

And his sister is weak and therefore not a source of strength for him. So both of them write the matter off immediately while turning their attention to the other zelbar and orc City Lords in the chamber.

Aidan

I briefly listen to the conversations outside of the booth for a moment before nodding my head in satisfaction.

That worked out well. The other City Lords are now marking Ali’s city as off limits, while the orcs and zelbar, who look down on humans and don’t have any concept of family, simply ignore the matter entirely. Genuinely not understanding the concept of trying to take family hostage.

Of course, if they did understand the concept, then I wouldn’t be quite so active to publicize my relationship with Ali. At least not to this extent.

It would easily become clear eventually, since I wouldn’t go out of my way to avoid them just to make sure no one knew we’re connected. It just wouldn’t have spread this quickly.

As for everyone else who is in here? Well, there are a lot of people I don’t know.

“It looks like your goal was achieved,” Akira says, bringing my attention to him.

I nod my head in agreement and state, “Now people shouldn’t bother Ali as much. Or they’ll at least think twice about it before they do.”

Ali smiles at that without saying anything to me, instead focusing on the people who are currently speaking with her from the other groups that entered the booth. Groups that number quite a few.

Despite all of them showing up after me, though, none of them approach me. Aside from Akira Fuji, of course.

I also can’t help but notice that a lot of them are asking if Ali is really my sister, along with about how we’re related. Whether we’re blood siblings, or just sworn siblings, or adopted siblings.

Ali answers the questions one after another, without looking like she has any time to talk with me. So I just talk with Akira a bit more as I ask, “Have the orcs targeted your city again yet?”

Akira shakes his head, “No. I believe most of the hostile forces on Gaia are too preoccupied with the Assaults right now to focus on us.”

That’s what I thought, but it’s best to make sure.

After that, we talk a little bit before I leave the booth to look around for a little bit. And once I realize there isn’t much else for me to do here, since Rex is already going around making connections alongside other voidlings, I head to my booth to sit down in my chair again. Then I activate the privacy screen, send a message to Rex to inform him of my departure, before leaving the World Council Chamber entirely.

The first thing I do after getting back is turn my attention to the loot boxes I left behind prior to entering the World Council Chamber. All three of whom are still sitting here in front of me.

A Legendary Rarity Loot Box, an Epic Rarity Loot Box, and an Uncommon Rarity Loot Box.

I start with the uncommon one, but it doesn’t give me anything of note. So I just use the junk it gives me as food, devouring the source mana in the cores and items before moving onto the epic one.

[Bronze Tier Mana Core – The mana core from a Bronze Tier creature that may be used as a power source for certain items.]

[Bow of Dread(Epic) – A bow tainted with curses. Every arrow shot by this bow will be coated with the Curse of Dread, significantly increasing the fear felt by all those hit by the arrows. Wearing them grants the wearer 25 points in Physical.]

Okay, that’s alright. Plenty of source mana for me, at least.

I move onto the last of the three loot boxes.

The Legendary Rarity Loot Box.

I hope this gives me something good.

[Silver Tier Mana Core – The mana core from a powerful Silver Tier creature that may be used as a power source for certain items.]

[2x Additional Dungeon Slot Perk(Legendary) – Allows the user to send an additional dungeon to the planet they are at war with. This may be purchased multiple times.]

Holy shit…

I didn’t realize I could get something like that from a Legendary Rarity Loot Box. Or from any loot box, at that.

A grin spreads across my face.

Now I can send two more Assaults!

In fact, it might be a pretty good time to do that while people on Furtruna are still in their World Council.

Before that, though, I want to go look at the new walls. Since they should have upgraded by now.

So I head over to the outskirts of the city to find that the walls have now expanded to about fifteen meters in height. They’re also a few meters thicker in their width as well. And when I jump onto the wall to look down, I find a moat down below, along with several entrances along the side of the wall that look like cannons and other weapons could go through.

The entrances are all sealed, of course, so no one can go through them.

Not bad.

The moat is several meters long, is filled with water, and I have no idea how deep it is. That’s a little hard to judge from up here.

I can leave that to the voidlings to figure out, though.

Right now I want to send more Assaults and try out my Random Monster perk and my Skill Infusion perk.

I think you copied the wrong description for the additional dungeon slot perk

John goode

Love this story. Thanks for the ch.

SamHawke

do the tickets send a random monster for that Assault, or is it permanent

M4Rk

i think its about the small mistake in item description "[2x Additional Dungeon Slot Perk(Legendary) – Unlocks the ability for the user to send a completely random monster to planets at war with the user’s planet. Including monsters they have not unlocked.]"

WolfWrites

That's already been fixed thanks to another comment.
