I go ahead and buy every building that I can currently afford and have unlocked. Giving me the Bank of War, the Basic Adventurer’s Guild, the Basic Roads, the Basic City Gate, the Level 2 Void Breach, and the upgraded Labyrinth Colosseum. Which leads to quite a tremor running across the entire System City.

Without hesitation, I run out of the City Hall before looking around at the new changes in the city.

First off, the Void Breach now looks more stable than before. With the view on the other side of the breach being a lot clearer than before.

After that, I notice that the Labyrinth’s Colosseum is a good chunk larger in size as well. Which doesn’t matter all that much, considering that all its size really does is let more people stay at it to watch events.

It looks nice, though.

I turn my gaze towards the City Wall directly across from the City Hall, which now has a large gate. One that already has a lot of voidlings going in and out of, with the occasional member of other species mixed in with them.

The gate is quite large, and it also has some additional smaller single-person sized entrances next to the main gate.

I can’t help but smile at the sight of the voidlings dragging in monsters through the currently-open-gate. Since the voidlings were stuck carrying their prey over the wall before.

Also, the voidlings are already bringing their reserves of food through the void breach now that the breach is more stable and allows more voidlings to cross over.

Other than those three, there is also a small board close to the gate that I’m guessing is the construction site for me to build roads with. But I put that to the back of my mind right now as I focus on the two brand new buildings in the city.

The first building is going along the road leading from the city hall to the top left corner of the System City, and it is in the form of a relatively large building in the shape of a corner. Meanwhile the second building is a large tower on the road leading to the top right corner.

I go over to the first building to find multiple receptionist desks in a large, circular room. With doors on the two parts of the room facing the different sides of the corner-shaped building.

There are also several different boards with what look like job listings on them scattered across the room, and a few receptionists of various different species already behind the desks. Showing that this building in particular is not manned by my own citizens.

Probably because the Adventurer’s Guild is an actual legitimate organization across the universe.

I walk up to one of the desks before the woman manning the desk – an elf – smiles at me and says, “Hello and welcome, City Lord Void Crowne, to the Adventurer’s Guild! Would you like to register as an Adventurer?”

“Yes,” I tell her with a nod of my head while briefly glancing back to find numerous voidlings beginning to enter the hall. But they all wait for me at the entrance without disturbing me to register themselves.

The various receptionists all look pretty calm despite seeing the voidlings, but I guess they’re probably already used to the sight of voidlings since they’re from the wider universe. So I refocus on the receptionist in front of me as a prompt appears in my vision asking me about registering as an adventurer.

I select confirm before the receptionist says, “You’re officially registered as an adventurer! You can accept jobs from the First Tier job board to gain War and Adventurer Points. These Adventurer Points may be exchanged for Victory Points, or for items from the Adventurer’s Guild directly. You can also increase your Adventurer Rank by spending these Adventurer Points on an advancement, which will gain you access to better items you can exchange for, and the Second Tier job board that has jobs which give more points as rewards. Additionally, you can accept ten jobs per Tier at a time. So raising your Tier will increase the number of jobs you can accept at one time. If you have any questions, you can ask any of the receptionists at the desks!”

“Thank you,” I tell her with a nod. Then I walk over to the boards to look at the jobs on them.

The first board I see happens to be the Fourth Tier board, which I won’t be able to take jobs from for a long time. But the board itself has some rather dangerous jobs on it.

All of the monsters targeted by the jobs on the Fourth Tier board are at the very least Platinum Tier. Which is still two entire tiers above Silver Tier, where I’m at.

I go along the boards to the right to find the Tiers rising all the way to the Tenth Tier.

That’s a little surprising. Considering that there aren’t ten Tiers in the leveling System.

There are seven Tiers. Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Adamantium.

After looking over the boards a little, I find that the boards starting at the Fourth Tier board have multiple boards per Tier.

The Fourth and Fifth Tier boards have Platinum Tier level difficulty. The Sixth and Seventh Tier boards have Diamond Tier level difficulty.

And the Eighth, Ninth, and Tenth Tier boards have Adamantium level difficulty.

After looking at the higher Tier boards, I move down towards the lower Tier boards. All the way until I arrive at the First Tier board, where the opponents and difficulty level are all Iron Tier.

So nothing worth paying much attention to.

That said, a lot of the tasks on the board involve killing common Iron Tier monsters that can be found inside of dungeons. Monsters that I tend to end up killing anyway since they’re in the dungeon and I have to kill them to clear the dungeon and end the Assault.

Which means that I can complete a bunch of First Tier tasks without even trying to.

I go ahead and accept a bunch of defeat and collect tasks. Most of which are all things like killing zombies and collecting their mana cores. Then I leave the Adventurer’s Guild, letting my voidlings rush in to register themselves in a rather large flood.

Those receptionists are about to be rather busy…

I shake my head at that thought before heading to the other new building. The large tower that is no doubt the Bank of War.

And the moment I get inside, I find it full of a bunch of halflings. With dozens of different desks, and a very high end, luxurious lobby.

I glance at my current remaining War Points, which total a little over two hundred thousand War Points remaining. Albeit with the number still growing at a visible speed thanks to all of my passive War Point incomes.

Meanwhile the buildings that are default unlocked that I haven’t already purchased are way too expensive for me to even dream of buying right now.

Like the Inter-Galaxy Portal that allows users to teleport to other Inter-Galaxy Portals outside of their own galaxy.

That portal costs over a hundred million War Points. So it won’t be something I can buy for a very long time.

There are also a couple other buildings with similar or even greater prices, like the Inter-Galaxy Kiosk, and the Transfer Gate. With the former being an inter-galaxy version of the kiosk, letting users trade with users from other galaxies, and the latter being a different type of portal that lets entire armies pass through it. Although it only lets them travel to other cities that have the Transfer Gate’s receiver building set up, which is far cheaper than the Transfer Gate building itself, but still expensive.

I can probably put in a hundred thousand War Points right now and continue putting in more as I earn them. The rest will be spent on Assaults.

With that thought, I walk up to the receptionist desk of the Bank of War.
