Numerous good items appear one after another in the auction, each of which gather strong reactions from the people here. All because at least half of them are similar to the first item sold.
They’re different types of items and injections that allow a magician to become a Warrior.
Of course, there are differences in the quality of the items. The final one that they just now finish selling for over four billion credits was the best one of the bunch, with its upper limit being capable of advancing a magician from a Second Stage Warrior to a Third Stage Warrior.
All of the previous injections and items they sold could only advance a magician to a First Stage Warrior, or advance one from First Stage to Second Stage, like the first one they sold. So the final one was worth quite a bit more.
It does feel a little ridiculous how much more expensive these are compared to the usual injections and items to advance through these stages. Even if I understand exactly why they’re so expensive.
Usually an injection to turn someone into a magician costs a couple dozen million at most. Meanwhile these cost at least a billion each.
Not only does it show off the wealth of these higher Class magicians, but it goes to show just how badly these magicians want the physical strength of a Warrior.
And I don’t really blame them for it either.
Anyway, after the magician specific advancement injections and items, the auction begins to reveal various advancement items and injections for regular Warriors. Just that these are all far higher Stage ones.
Surprisingly enough, the auction even sells a single Stage Six to Stage Seven advancement injection. And this one actually does sell for far higher than the magician specific injections.
It’s a Stage Seven advancement, after all. There are only two Stage Seven Warriors in the entire world, so an injection that will make a third is absolutely worth this much.
With that thought in mind, I don’t feel the least bit surprised when it ends up selling for four billion credits.
As for who buys it? It sells to another one of the VIP booths. So I don’t know who exactly purchases it.
After the Warrior advancement stuff, the auction moves onto selling items that can be used in the tournament. Things like magitech blades and armor.
None of it looks all that interesting to me.
Of course, I don’t exactly have the funds to buy much anyway. The main reason I am here is because I was invited and I was curious. So I came.
Plus, I need to spend more time outside of the Eternal Continents if I want to find Chrono Island.
This also isn’t the only part of the auction as the auction continues with the second half after the tournament. So I might find something I want to buy then.
And if I perform well enough in the tournament, I’ll earn a cash prize that will give me enough to actually buy something if I want something.
I narrow my eyes while turning my gaze onto the other booths. Mostly due to a thought that crosses my mind about the earlier advancement injections.
What would happen if I actually tried to use one of those myself? Would it just revert after I try to use it, making it a complete waste of time and money? Or would it actually affect me?
I don’t have much in terms of data regarding this type of advancement.
The only things that have permanently affected my body are my own mana arcs and spirit, and the liquid that turned me into a vampire in the first place. Which had time and space mana in it.
What if…
I purse my lips as a possible method to do it comes to mind.
If I manage to separate the time mana into my mana arcs and gain the ability to use time mana, then I might be able to help the Alchemist create an injection that can affect me through combining the time and space mana I would be able to use. Then that injection might be able to affect me permanently and advance me into a Warrior.
Another potential issue with the plan would be my status as a vampire. Since I don’t know if that would affect the injection or not.
If it does, then I might be able to get around that through adding death mana into the injection. But I don’t know if adding so many types of mana to it would ruin the effect of the injection or not.
I don’t know enough about Warriors and their advancement process to know any of this.
Hmm…
I probably have to meet with the Alchemist to figure this out. But the Alchemist himself is way too reclusive. Almost never showing himself to anyone.
So I would likely need to ask someone to introduce us.
Crimson, maybe?
I can see him doing an introduction.
Of course, I don’t absolutely need to become a Warrior too. But it would make for a very nice improvement to my strength if I can.
It would be unpleasant for me to fight against a Seventh Stage Warrior right now. Since they would be able to literally grab me and tear me into two. Much less a potential theoretical Eighth Stage Warrior or higher.
Technically speaking, I would be surprised if the Warrior advancements stop at Seventh or even Eighth Stage over the course of time. I’m sure they’ll continue climbing higher as more people make advancements in research about them.
And a Seventh Stage Warrior is already strong enough to endure a lot of spells with their body alone.
Although it does vary depending on the affinity of the spells. Spatial spells would probably be harder for them to endure.
My thoughts are interrupted when the first half of the auction comes to an end, and the host begins talking again, stating some hints at what might be sold in the second half. No doubt to motivate people to return for it.
Not that they’ll have much difficulty getting everyone to come back.
Looks like it’s time for the tournament soon.
Now I can finally see how I measure up to other Class S magicians in a battle. At least in terms of combat ability.
It’ll certainly be interesting to see.
