Halsin- "Emerald Grove" (July Print Club Exclusive) (Patreon)

Hellooooo!!!! I'm so excited to share July's print club exclusive for this month!!!! I've been just absolutely feral excited for Halsin month haha. I love painting him, honestly just so much texture and niceness... Not to mention he's pretttty easy on the eyes. :P

I'm SO proud of how this one turned out. I went through a period of using soft round brushes for a while, but I'm back to using harder chalkier brushes and I think I'm sticking with these for the foreseeable future. As I do use 3D and some compositing elements in my work, it's always the biggest struggle to try and transform those bits into looking less sterile/inorganic and mesh with my painting. I think that the best way for me is to stick with my overpainting/detailing with more ragged brushes in order to really get where I want to be with a piece.

Revisiting painting dappled light makes me want to redo my older Astarion piece I did with the same kind of lighting scheme.

Anyways, download as always available for personal usage! This is the 8"x10" print for July, I haven't quite figured out what I will do for the mini yet!!
