Here is the mini print for August, available both with the main print in Print Club, or by itself with Mini Print Club. ♥♥

Morrigan is such a complex and fascinating character- her desire to explore the world past the small sliver she was raised in, her control over her own life seemingly slipping through her fingers whilst trying to beat fate into submission. I love every bit of it.

These pieces were illustrated in tandem as I wanted to show a more tactile look at Morrigan's earthy magic, weaving blood and earth together, and illustrating her own mental struggle as she grapples with her power and the hold Flemeth has over her.

The magic system in Origins felt a lot more grounded and organic to me than the systems in future games in the series, and that's one thing that I really liked about it. I'm not a huge fan of flashy magic- I like to imagine Morrigan casting magic with mud underfoot and feral howls emanating from her.

I hope you guys enjoy these pieces- Dragon Age Origins is one of my all times favorites due to the characters, so this was a cool deep dive into what Morrigan really represents to me.

Thank you so much as always, everyone!!!

I LOVE hands! I especially love art of hands. There's so much you can tell with it. I really love this! <3 I see so much symbolism in this. It's really lovely!

Me too!!! I love close up shots of characters in general. I would do more of them but I always worry about character "readability" since not every character has distinct hands necessarily. But I probably should just get over it bc I love hand art too haha. Thank you!
