Yes, yes — I didn’t make a mistake.
In this shoot, I’m the model, and Kate is the photographer 🙂
You might not know this, but Kate has a beautiful eye — and way too little practice and faith in herself. Sometimes it feels like other people believe in her more than she believes in herself. A very familiar story if you grew up in Eastern Europe, right? 😌
It was early 2024. A Shoot Party — my first workshop in that format. After it, Kate and I decided to stay in Tenerife for a while and actually rest. We really needed it. And if you think being a model at a workshop is easy — nope. Not true at all.
We went to one of the beaches just to spend time by the water. Kate always shoots on her phone, but that time I gave her my camera so she could try a “real machine” 😄
Giving someone a fixed 50mm lens is definitely not the best idea for a person who’s used to zooming in and out with two fingers… (Honestly, I didn’t feel the joy with it at first either.)
Katya didn’t fall in love with my Nikon — but instead, we got these raw, sharp-edged frames. And honestly? That feels way more interesting.
