I shaved my hair.

You all know me as the proud owner of beautiful thick curly hair - and not only on my head))))) And you know I’m a big fan of body hair - not just on men but on women too. But sometimes a woman wants to do a bob or go full shaved-head mode. People love to say things like “she broke up with someone” or “she’s depressed” - but honestly, that’s not always the case. Sometimes you just want to refresh your hair, feel different, feel new, “rebirth” yourself a bit))))

I get this urge a couple of times a year. And today was that day. I rarely feel beautiful when I’m completely smooth - I even feel unprotected when I remove all my hair. I become vulnerable and awkward… But today something strange happened - I actually feel like a super woman. Confident, strong, even with the softness of a newborn baby.

I’m definitely not keeping it for long. But I love coming back to different versions of myself from time to time.

Lord bless the fact that I never did laser hair removal - because now I can switch styles whenever I feel like it.

I know there aren’t many women here among my subscribers, but I’ll ask anyway — maybe someone will want to answer. Tell me how you feel in your body when you shave everything or when you keep your natural hair. Do you feel more yourself? Less? More confident or more exposed?

And to the men here - I have questions too. How do you perceive body hair on women and yourself? Does it make a woman’s body feel more feminine to you? More natural? More honest? And how do you feel when you shave everything off… vs when you keep your full natural look?

I once heard men shave just to make their friend look a bit taller on the horizon… but that might just be myths and memes ))))

Share your thoughts - I’m genuinely curious.

And just to set the tone — nothing about this is meant to be vulgar. We’re all adults here, just talking about bodies and how we feel in them. No shame, no dirty subtext, just honesty.

I think people usually look the best when they feel the best. If having some hair feels right then it probably looks best, and if shaving feels right it probably also does. I don’t think this is fixed by any means, as we are likely to shift across time. There are so many cultural or memetic opinions on this, and for the most part, I think they are laughable. Anytime I see a man questioning a woman’s body hair or saying they’d look better with no bush I have to feel bad for them for being so enculturated and narrow minded. But I suppose to some extent we all suffer from this trait in one way or another. Body hair is natural and can also be a form of expression. We all may have may reasons why we choose to make it as we do, and they are all great and valid. In a way it’s a form of art. As for myself, I both like to have some hair but not let it get out of hand… both for my own comfort level and also for that of my partner. I’ve never gone bald as an adult but it would be funny to do so 😂 I wouldn’t take it so seriously. But I do hate when hair is growing back in and is sharp so that’s a bit of a difficulty with the process - if short lived. Anyways you look absolutely incredible with any length of hair down there or with none. You, Julia, are the greatest work of art.

Thank you, my love - you always manage to make even a topic like body hair sound philosophical and funny at the same time))) And yes, I completely agree with you: people really do look the best when they feel the best. And when it comes to men, it honestly doesn’t matter whether there’s hair, a lot of hair, or a very-very-very generous amount of hair))) The cultural opinions around all of this still make me laugh. So many rules and “shoulds”, while in reality it’s just about feeling comfortable in your own skin. At least we can talk about it openly and with a bit of humor.

I do love hair under there (I mean not a wild bush, but a well-groomed hair as you usually have), but the most important thing is that if you like it you should keep it. And when you decide to remove it, you should do it. Anyway, I don't despise even a little bit of hair under armpits, if short and well-groomed.

I love to see people feel comfortable with their bodies as they were created to be, I think it’s an important part of self love and acceptance !!! And yes body hair on women is beautiful 🔥
