I’m already starting to see changes in my body from Pilates. They’re not dramatic. Maybe no one else would even notice. But I notice. And more importantly - I feel them.

It’s not about suddenly having visible abs or some huge transformation. It’s more subtle than that. A different posture. A stronger center. A bit more control in how I move. My body feels more connected, more awake. Even the way I stand or walk feels slightly different - more grounded, more stable.

And that’s what motivates me the most. Not the mirror. Not numbers. Not comparison. But that quiet internal shift - when you feel your muscles responding, when you realize you’re a little stronger than you were last week, when exercises that felt impossible suddenly feel… doable.

It’s small. But it’s real. And for me, that’s enough to keep going.

And honestly… I get it now. Sport really is a drug.

At first you suffer. Then you survive. Then suddenly you crave it. Your body starts asking for that burn, that stretch, that shaky-muscle feeling like it’s a secret substance. One month in and I’m already suspicious. What if this is how it starts? Today it’s Pilates three times a week, tomorrow I’m that person who says “I just need my workout” with slightly wild eyes.

If I disappear, don’t worry. I’ll probably be somewhere doing planks and chasing my next legal dopamine hit.

✨ chasing dopamine

For me it's the same: after I started doing pilates, people notice my different posture now, and I also feel better. I was advised to do pilates because I often work from home sitting in front of the laptop, I had back problems and now I see all the benefits. I know it's not considered as a sport for men, but I like it anyway ;) (I sometimes do other kinds of workout too 💪🏻)
