Looks like Chris is in prison. I'm guessing Eric Weinstein is on the other side of the bars saying "well well well... It seems I'M the gatekeeper now!" Or "the suppressor becomes the suppressed!"

Colin Fardey

Send to Sam. Make sure he sees it.

Andrew Przybylski

This is a great way to investigate science colliding with discourse. I'll give it a read too, a bit too haunting when I reflect on my own research experiences. 😳

Sam D.

Stunning episode. I hope this story gets the widespread attention it deserves- for decades to come, for the perspective on suppression of science.

This is just a retrospective now that everyone's moved on from lab leak theory, right? Right?!

What's That Noise?

You know they say any conversation on the internet will devolve into Hitler comparisons eventually, so it's good to get it out of the way at the start.

Max

That was an information filled hour, great talk, great fella!

Liz Tily

Love the fresh new accent

Duncan

Great interview.

Jenny

Excellent interview. I just bought his book on Amazon. Even if it’s available for free I think he should get $ for his work

Joe Euro

I wish I could talk so quickly AND coherently about anything, let alone about such a complex topic. Blimey. Great interview

I will buy the book as well. I still find the “two lineages” aspect the most convincing — even if I’m not 100 percent comfortable with the science since it’s not my expertise. I wonder what the lab leakers say to try and get around the idea that there would’ve needed to have been, as I understand it, two independent lab leaks into the one market……

Maytree

Chris unsurprisingly has the Japanese often used “bye-bye” pitches down pat.

Chomagerider

Holy shit. Bombshell of an episode out of nowhere. Fucking Sam "I have no problem changing my mind" Harris better fucking listen to this. Is this ep behind the paywall or can I share it? This is too good and important not to share.

Níall

Bought this book a few weeks back. What a treat to have this interview and my god does he speak well.

So the virus was already adapted to humans at the bat stage? I've been saying that it can't possibly have leaked from the wuhan lab as they only had bat viruses and it had to go through mammal mutations to infect people. Everytime I think I've got it I haven't. 😂

I’m going to fill my “little free library” out front with dozens of copies.
