The episode with Mick West and Eric Weinstein has just been released so here is the Gurometer episode. We knew Mick would not score highly but we need baseline comparisons! Also we decided to start entering the subjects of past mini decodings since we know their content well enough.

First to go in is Konstantin Kisin of Triggernometry. Next up Sam Harris and Jonathan Pageau.

Enjoy the episode and the Gurometer!

Audio version to follow.

Are you sure you've released the Weinstein episode? I can't see it in my feed and I'm craving more Weinstein content.

Astrolabium

Since you mentioned (disturbing) the relative positioning of gurus, I wanna ask if you have given any thought to the idea we sort of discussed a couple months back: a non-parametric, relative guru ranking? It would give a nice alternative guru ladder (graph) with much fewer arbitrary numbers (and the data could be gathered at your own pace). I was pursuing this semi-professionally in connection to Markov chains, perhaps we could discuss it?

It seemed like Eric Weinstein sounded like a parody of a woke college student.

Hey lads - would have said earlier but so quiet. Robert Wright- the guru you didn’t revisit- now having Russian War podcasters on. Who saw that coming ? 🤔( see me months ago) dudes - really? He’s not more dangerous than Eric? Gets to write Washington Post pieces as a ‘liberal intellectual’ and change narrative for Ukraine ( me- very anti imperialist invaders) worry the Sam Harris - had a nice dinner/ conversation thing working with you. Ironically I think he’s been shown to be your worst guru as he’s got genuine reach with reasonable people with his writing. His cherry picking motivated reasoning is deranged. Massive chip on shoulder and conspiracy thinking around’the blob’ . Take Eric everyday and Eric’s the worst. But Bob is self- deprecating…big test- will you properly revisit a ‘good guy’ who is essentially Russell Brand? Just asking questions.

Great stuff guys. Minor criticism, Matt's audio seemed v quiet in comparison to Chris. Not entirely consistently, but there were points in which I could barely hear Matt but Chris was v clear.
