NOW, WE ARE USING OUR OWN DEDICATED THICK CLIENT APP -> MGS Audio Database

----------------------------------------------------

Windows users

Simply export the content of the .zip in the same folder. It should create a "MGS Audio" folder, or merge everything automatically if it's already present.

If the program asks if you want to overwrite any file, say yes. It should only overwrite the general notice and the directory structure help pdf.

Your directory structure will grow over time. Feel free to manually add ambiences from our Bandcamp as well.

Mac users

iOs computers are playing a bad joke on us and you'll have to do a slightly more complex manipulation.

1) Open the Terminal

2) Write "ditto ~/Desktop/MGS_Audio ~/Downloads/MGS_Audio"

This will merge the Downloads/Test folder with the Desktop/Test folder, overwriting the contents of the destination folder with files from the source folder, while still keeping anything that’s different. You can also do this by option-clicking a folder and dragging and dropping it, but it doesn’t work as well.

FAQ

There is some empty folders after I merged everything, is it normal?

Yes. We used to name our folders differently. It doesn't mean you missed content. You can delete them.

Do I have to download 6-months packs of lower tiers?

Yes. Packs only contain the content of their own tier.

Thanks for this Michael. I appreciate the consideration and the extra effort you give to us. Cheers! :)

This is a great idea! Are you going to update the download links on old posts to reflect this policy? Or even a collected download with all assets for each tier? Love your stuff! :)

Hi Jesse, thanks a lot! No I won't do it, or at least it's not planned. My To-do list is gigantic at the moment and I'm alone to manage everything x)
