Emotion Sickness Page 12 (Patreon)
Content
COLOR:
The colors for page 12 of Emotion Sickness are now complete. Raven implores Robin and Starfire to postpone all activities. Starfire excitedly misinterprets Raven's intentions, although her excitement quickly turns to worry as Raven collapses into the water.
With this the first part of Emotion Sickness is now complete. It's ready to transition to the next scene, but as I mentioned before I'll be doing a brief detour into another scene for Bawdy Falls before detouring back into this. I'll likely alternate these two for a while, but due to the closeness of the polls I may slip something for Star vs Evil in between at some point in the future, although I postponed any further development of ideas in that regard due to the series ending this weekend, which means anything that's going to be established as canon will be established.
LINES:
Here are the lines for page 12 of Emotion sickness. Raven interrupts Robin and Starfire before they can proceed further. This immediately excites Starfire as Raven also appears to be in an excitable condition, but it all proves too much for her, quickly turning the excitement into worry.
This page marks the end of part 1 of this comic. I plan to do another quick part of Bawdy Falls and then get back to the next part of this comic, which will take place in a new environment due to Raven's loss of consciousness cutting this scene to an abrupt close.
I am considering trying out a whole new comic format for the next part of Bawdy Falls (again). I tried the horizontal format, found it wasn't as I had hoped, and then switched it back up to a traditional vertical format. However, lately I've been interested in trying out the super vertical format of modern Line Webtoons. These have the advantage of being overall easier to plot out, are more mobile friendly for people used to swiping (which is apparently over 50% of modern internet traffic), and can be cut into chunks that make them still navigable in the traditional way.
I'm also considering reducing focus on making my comic pages look clean at such a high resolution. I like doing this, but it does slow me down quite a bit in the drawing process, and I'd really like to be able to do more pages and more content versus having it look quite as clean at 2500x3500 resolution, which I doubt most people even look at. 4K displays even cap out at a vertical height of 2160px. I'm not sure how I'd be handling this with content uploaded here, although either way I'd still upload the full resolution and CLIP files, they just likely wouldn't be as clean if you zoom in all the way (which again, I doubt most do anyway).
I'm not 100% set on any changes as I still have until I start it back up next week to decide for sure, just sharing what I've been thinking lately as I've neared the end of this part of Emotion Sickness,
Also, I'm much later on the update this week, but it was another one of those weeks that started off with quite a drawing block (and a bit of writer's block). I simply couldn't decide how I wanted to do this page after realizing I didn't like how it was planned before in the old Notepad document. Adding a power outage last night definitely did not help. At least it's done now.
