Hello, everyone, I wanted to give a bit of an update since I finally got a little more information, and I have a much better idea of what the overall game plan is going to be going forward. But first, let me thank you all for your well wishes and patience. I really do appreciate it.

While I learned what exactly was wrong with me, I also learned that next month, I'm going to need minor surgery. It's largely my fault, as I just straight-up ignored my symptoms for like four months until I hit a critical point. So, with the benefit of hindsight, let me make a recommendation -- if you ever think 'Hey, maybe I should go to the hospital?' Just go to the hospital. It'll be inconvenient, it'll be expensive (If you're an American), and it'll suck. But it'll be more inconvenient, expensive, and suck a whole lot more if you put it off too long.

Beyond that, things have been going alright for me. I have been helping train my replacement at work. Largely because I would like to still use the job as a reference in the future if I ever feel the need, but when my job wasn't trying to murder me via stress, I did like my job and the people that work there. Even if sometimes it felt like they got brain surgery to remove their critical thinking skills. That will be wrapping up this week and I will be a free man once more.

I'm looking to start updating again on Monday of next week, but I will confess that I haven't been able to build up my backlog as much as I would like for my various stories. And, in full interest of transparency, that is completely because I have been bitten by the Gone Native: Rewrite bug. When I do have time to write, I've found it difficult to write any story that wasn't that one.

While very fun, it has been something of a problem because I had hoped to pad out my backlog for my other stories a bit. In particular, in regard to Best of Intentions and A Golden Path, as neither of them has a backlog to speak of, I intend to change how they share the Monday slot. So, what I may do is temporarily give the Monday slot to one story while I build up the other's backlog. Then, for my others, I'll see if I can get ahead with my newfound free time.

Again, I'm looking to come back to full-time updates next week. And, hopefully, in the very near future, I can bring back stories like Ghastly Adventures, which have fallen by the wayside.

And, again, thank you all for your patience.

Praying for your good health 🙏

Mr Cyberpunk

Good that you are doing ok, and not putting every egg in the Patreon basket immediately. Can't wait for the updates to some of my favorite stories.

Good to hear you are getting better. What will happen to the good life?

IdeasGuy

It should be updated next Friday, barring anything crazy happening.

Best wishes for your swift recovery. Legends never Die and all your stories are amazing!

Sir M

It's good to know you're on the path of recovery. As for the stories if I'm honest I pay for this patreon because pretty much everything you write is something I want to read. Do whatever works for you.

Glad to hear you're doing better, and thanks for the update! I have never found a writer whose works I enjoy more, except MAYBE Matt Dinniman's Dungeon Crawler Carl. And even then, I feel like the fact that you have so many different stories and tones and styles that are all perfectly captured i their style. Siegfried's gluttony for warfare and knowledge shine through in a way that's different from Law's hedonism and perfect self-assuredness, that's still different from Rude's battered and tired optimism and L's single-minded focus and the wonder of how his inventions (plagiarism) reshaped Cyberpunk again and again and again. Even now, getting into A Golden Path feels a lot like playing a Game of Thrones; every character carefully considers the political and social ramifications of what they're doing in a way that is most appropriate for their story. Looking forward to more! Might put a pause on Golden Path and pick up Going / Gone Native if updates are coming down that pipeline first.

Glad to hear man. Take care of yourself, that's the most important thing.

Glad its nothing too serious, get well soon! That first chapter of the going native rewrite has gotten me very excited to see where you will take it now that you have matured so much as a writer.
