Lucifer 4x7 ~ '' Devil Is As Devil Does'' ~ Extended Reaction.mp4

Saga

This is one of my favorite episodes of season 4! I love the writing, the story, the character development and the way the episode was directed! We can clearly see Lucifer struggle with his Devilish ways, with Eve and Chloe pushing him in different directions - wanting him to be the best version of himself, even though they have different opinions on what that is. There is a lot of symbolism throughout this episode, with the "Devil (Eve) and Angel (Chloe)" on Lucifer's shoulders, the shot where half of Lucifer's face is dark and so much more. I love that we get to see how Chloe reacts to Lucifer's actions. We see how hurt she is when Lucifer tells her he broke Julian's back, and how proud and happy she is when he decided not to punish Tiernan. Also, Chloe's conversation with Ella about celestial justice is one of my favorite scenes. I love how Chloe realises that Lucifer's also an angel, and that she reminds him of that later on! I love that we get to see more of Trixie, and how important Lucifer is to her. We all know that Lucifer would do anything to protect her, but Trixie sneaking out to see him and be there for him as a friend is amazing. Unfortunately Dan's actions (telling Tiernan about Lucifer) puts her in danger, which we can see affects Dan a lot when he finds out she went to Lucifer's. He realises that his actions put his daughter at risk, which is one of the reasons, I think, he speaks to Ella about feeling so lost. I agree with your thoughts about Dan and Ella, and it feels very real to me. Two people who feel lost and disconnected trying to feel connected to something, or someone in this case. Overall, I really like this episode and can't wait for your next reaction! Stay safe everyone :)

I love this episode so much. I think although I adore Deckerstar and want that to work out I do understand the problems...imagine if it were real and it was you or me instead of Chloe...so many emotions. However, the reason I love this episode so very much is that I think it was when I fully realised why I love Lucifer and why this Show affects me much. I know, four seasons in- yes? I have always loved every minute but this episode was a revelation. I was so teary eyed through so much of Luci's obvious pain and confusion and the scene at the end, with Chloe talking to Kinley, the music building and changing, Luci talking to Linda oh my heart...and then it hit me- I wanted to stretch out my arms and push down his wings to fold them away and wrap my arms so tightly around him and hold him while he cried and I realised it is the mother in me, heart and soul aching for this distressed, confused young man (okay celestial) but in this instance- he was like a child, abandoned, hopeless and lost and I was broken. I think I mentioned last episode that this season took me to places emotionally that I never expected and made me tear up nearly every episode. The script writing never ceases to amaze me and the Direction and acting never fail to wring out every emotion. Seasons 1-3 laid it all out for us... hooked us and kept us involved. Season 4 knocks it out of the ball park.
