FWIW, Damon removes Elijah's dagger in s2 e14. Vampires can't place the diggers but it appears removing them is different. (more proof is a spoiler)

Yeah, Episode 20 shows things from Klaus Perspective, Episode 1 of the Originals from Elijah's perspective. There are some reused scenes. Also with this being a pilot episode, they had to take into consideration that some may not have watched TVD at first. This is what I did, watched the Original first actually, then came back around to watch TVD later. After this episode, you can back to finish season 4 of TVD since the show technically aired with season 5 of TVD. Their is some slight cross over between the shows at times and some references to events taking place back in Mystic Falls while they are down in New Orleans. So, it would be up to you if you want to decide to reacting to both shows at the same time once you start season 5 of TVD.

Are u watching the show alongside TVD?
