🇯🇵 The Official Hige Dandism discovery continues LIVE, with four performances! After exploring Pretender, Cry Baby and Subtitle on YouTube, we’re hearing two of those songs on stage and discovering two more songs for the first time.
We’re starting with Cry Baby at Pia Arena MM, followed by I LOVE… from Hall Travelers. Then it’s Pretender at Nissan Stadium, before finishing with an acoustic performance of 115万キロのフィルム (1.15 Million Kilometer Film) — taking us through four different concert settings and another side of the band!
Thank you so much for supporting the channel! ❤️
Cry Baby opens the bonus with their June 2021 performance at Pia Arena MM in Yokohama. These shows marked the band’s return to an audience after around a year and four months. With its dramatic key changes and connection to Tokyo Revengers, this gives us a chance to hear how they bring the song’s twists and turns to the stage. The audience couldn’t cheer vocally under the event’s COVID rules, which is useful context for this performance.
Next is my first listen to I LOVE…, performed at Pacifico Yokohama on 10 February 2020 during Hall Travelers. It explores how someone important can change the way you see the world—and how difficult those feelings can be to express. Although it was written for a romantic drama, the band described its message as embracing love for friends, family and other important people too.
Then we return to Pretender, this time at Nissan Stadium on 1 June 2025, during Higedan’s first stadium concert series. After discovering the music video on YouTube, we get to experience its bittersweet story of love and letting go in a much bigger setting.
Finally, 115万キロのフィルム takes us back to Hulic Hall Tokyo on 13 October 2018 for an acoustic first listen. The song imagines a shared lifetime as a film, preserving everyday memories, disagreements, reconciliation and growing older together. Its title represents roughly 80 years’ worth of film—enough to capture a future with someone you love.
Let me know which performance connected with you most — and which Higedan song or live performance I should experience next! 🇯🇵❤️
