🇹🇷 Four more songs from Şebnem Ferah’s Istanbul 2007 concert! Following Çakıl Taşları, Delgeç and Hoşçakal on YouTube, this bonus continues our concert selection with four additional complete performances.
We’re watching İyi-Kötü, Okyanus, Ben Bir Mülteciyim and Vazgeçtim Dünyadan, in that order — starting with the full eight-minute İyi-Kötü, with around 24 minutes of source footage before my pauses and commentary!
Thank you so much for supporting the channel! ❤️
First up is İyi-Kötü (Good and Bad), also subtitled Dans Pisti (Dance Floor). It explores the good and bad within ourselves through the metaphor of a dance — and this extended performance brings that idea to life as Şebnem dances with an audience member onstage!
Then we have Okyanus (Ocean), a song about freedom, possibility and wanting to experience life beyond the limits placed on you. Although it’s second in our bonus, it was the opening song after the instrumental introduction at the original concert!
Next is Ben Bir Mülteciyim (I Am a Refugee), with the additional title Güç (Strength). Its imagery of refuge and borders describes an inner, emotional world: finding shelter in your own heart and holding on to your independence through difficult times.
Our bonus finishes with Vazgeçtim Dünyadan (I Gave Up on the World), from her 1996 debut album Kadın. A woman’s perspective on abandonment, despair and an unfulfilled future gives this song a particularly heavy emotional weight — bringing us back to the beginning of Şebnem’s solo career to close our selection.
Four additional songs from the same concert, all together in one bonus reaction!
Which performance stood out most to you — and which Şebnem song or performance should I react to next? 🇹🇷
