Tywin, Son of Tytos, of House Lannister. Lord of Casterly Rock and Warden of the West, Shield of Lannisport and Hand of the King. Everything he did was to make sure that his family name endured and thrived like no other. If he gave Tyrion the recognition he deserved and treated him well then he would probably still be alive.

Telling Ygritte to stop being dead, in this show? Risky move. First Cersei wounds Tywin with her words, then Jaime betrays him by releasing Tyrion, and finally Tyrion kills him with a crossbow. His children have not been kind to him. Not that he didn't have it coming. And then there's the Children of the Forest. They seem to be very powerful, casually throwing fireballs or whatever those were.

Stannis showing up to save the Night's Watch is one of my favorite moments in the books and the show. He's deeply flawed but he's the ONLY king who recognized what the true danger was, and went to meet it, while everyone else spends their time continuing to bicker among one another. There's a metaphor in there somewhere ...

Brienne and Pod didn't technically know about Sansa being in the Eyrie, they went there because Pod (correctly) assumed that the Hound would be taking Arya there to ransom her to Lysa

Shae going for the knife is actually another change from the book and it was "necessary" because they wanted the keep Tyrion being the "good" version they changed him into: In the books Tyrion is a lot more morally dubious and (as you mentioned) Shae is pretty clearly never actually in love with Tyrion, he's just deluding himself into thinking that. When *book* Tyrion goes up to Tywins chambers and finds her there, he deliberately chooses to kill her and all Shae ever does is plead for her life. However, that would make *show* Tyrion considerably more evil than the writers had been depicting him for four seasons, so they decided to write Shae out of character (to an even greater degree than they had been doing for the past few episodes already) and have her immediately go for the knife in order to essentially morally justify *show* Tyrion killing her...

Tywin changed his tunes quickly when he was shot lol. Always trying to manipulate. Don't believe a second he was going to let tyrion not be executed. Did you notice the music at the end? Its a different version of the main theme song. Probably one of my fave endings.

And yeah what they did to Shay here makes no sense. They wrote a different character than the one in the books then gave her the same storyline as in the books, and it makes absolutely no sense here. There are several examples of them going off book in a good way, then messing it up in the end, which is why I will never trust these showrunners again
