God, Jesse's line 'get them young and they're yours for life' is so sad because that's what happened with him and Walt. Walt blackmailed him in the first episode to help him, Jesse was a really low level dealer at the time (Jesse is either 23 or 25 at that point) so hasn't been out of high school for too long. And you can see this in the way he talks to and about Walt, it's always Mr. White, like Jesse is still mentally in high school. The extra trauma Walt inflicted upon him then 'fixed' doesn't help things. It's so sad. So many points after Jane's death (with episodes like Fly) where I wanted Jesse to find out about what Walt did. But Jesse still clearly looks up to and cares about Walter, which makes the idea of him finding out even more sad.

For those watching closely for Easter-egg breadcrumbs, this episode contains a shoutout--- the "Jeopardy" moment--- to the American poet *Walt Whitman.* More to come on that...

Walt took Mike’s “beat cop” story to heart - his action in the end was certainly not a half measure…
