HBelmont67

Skeptic and La Brava having history has got to be the FUNNIEST plot twist in My Hero Academia. 🤣

HBelmont67

Glad to see the Montoya intro art now. 🔥😁

Braden Jackson

Yea twice has one of the most broken duplication quirks I’ve seen

freshfruitbox

This is genuinely my favorite episode of the season lol

HBelmont67

The Double Quirk is actually EXACTLY a Viktor from Arcane situation. Taking out the original takes out the rest.

Braden Jackson

Don’t disrespect chef hero cook Deku can’t win on a empty stomach

HBelmont67

Lunch Rush has been back there this whole time. He's there so Yaoyarozu can keep creating.

HBelmont67

Guys, the chef Lunch Rush has been at the Coffin the whole time. He's there so Yaoyarozu can keep creating.

Lexi-Conway

Lmao I didn’t notice lunch rush the first time. But I think he’s keeping momo fed so she can keep creating.

HBelmont67

Hot take: this episode's use of Might+U is my favorite.

HBelmont67

I genuinely don't know which I find more impressive: Gentle single-handedly catching the Coffin in the Sky while boosted by La Brava, or single-handedly stopping a prison break WITHOUT a boost.

Lyrical Kell of Music

Now that I think about it, it’s a good thing nagant can even use her quirk . Deku singled out her barrel to incapacitate her, which is understandable but he full force kicked that thing with pseudo 100% and shattered it lmao. I could see it being like a bone that’s just shattered to the point that reconstruction is impossible

Ksweets

There is actually a total of 4 personalities within shigiraki. Himself. Shigiraki, Tenko shimura, AFO, and then the combined AFshig(think of this as the combined hatred stored withen the quirk all for one itself. That blow was essentially enough for regular shigiraki to take the reigns

Braden Jackson

O your right I forgot that yaoyarozu and other hero’s use food for their quirk just proves that lunch rush is one of the backs carrying the coffin in the sky

HBelmont67

Probably my favorite thing about Gentle's heroic moment here is that this is him learning from his past mistake. When he first tried to save someone, he made an air cushion without having any control of where the person fell. This time, he put up the cushion AFTER first launching himself towards the Coffin, giving himself control.

Pugz

Honestly Kinoko should of said “we won’t have mush room to move” 😂

Kevin De Bruyne

we need 18 and 19 double drop 19 is the best episoide of mha ever

HBelmont67

Also a good one 😂👍

Braden Jackson

I’d go with the prison cuase his quirk would make escape easier than most others and he choice to single handily stop them from escaping and stay while the door is open In front of him the whole time gentle criminal for the win

Malik Black

I love this episode! I’ve love Gentle and La Brava characters

Limini

doesn't even have anything to do with quirks, la brava is just chronically online and beefing with strangers lol

Pugz

Yeah Lunch Rush is there to keep them fed. Considering momo relies on food to create.

Scar

It would make more sense for 20 and 21, 19 would be dropped on a Thursday and 20 that Saturday so a 2 day wait after that wouldn't be crazy lol

Stache King

This to me at least, is the 2nd of 5 emotional episode heavyweights. It featured not one, not two, but three former villains that Izuku inspired to be redeemed. Gentle in particular gets his ultimate redemption here. Take note in how he used his quirk in the flashback vs him using it on the Coffin. Between that and how he handled those prisoners, my man could have been a Top 10 hero in another alternate universe. First time watching this I wept at this episode with how great they handled all three former villains. And FYI the shot Nagant took on Shigaraki's hand was from 200 Kilometers away, injured, in the rain and wind. Nagant needs to turn off the aimbot to be fair to the rest of us. 😁

Scar

Only 5 episodes left guys...

HBelmont67

I almost don't believe we're already almost there

HBelmont67

Easily my favorite episode of the season.

L.C.

When my boy Gentle got this scene animated and given justice along with the instrumental of Might U soundtrack I was sooooo happy. He deserves it for his character.

HBelmont67

I think this use of Might+U might be my favorite.

L.C.

Its dope. Although I do really love the beautiful singing that girl that made it here in the USA did for it but I think it wouldn't have worked properly with this scene so this version is much better. I think all around they did a much better job of picking the OSTs for this season and the moments that go with them. In season 5 and 6 the OST choices for the moments weren't all that great especially when Yuki Hayashi literally makes each OST for a specific moment in this season and for specific characters.

Puba

Crazy cause I didn’t expect to feel the emotions that I felt. Crazy work cause my eyes got watery 😮‍💨. Love the reactions 🤙🏽

Limini

truly the power of love and friendship 💕💕💕

William Roberts

remember Momo needs energy to create, so she needs calories!

Limini

Next episode has a post credit scene btw!

yob

Last 3 episodes of this season are my favorite content in all of mha and I can't wait

Ryan W

Perfect to put the cook with creati since she turns food into whatever they need

Kyle MacDonald

We don't know exactly what Lunchrush's quirk is, but it definitely has somethig to do with food, so he's probably here to support Momo, whose quirk - if you recall - converts fat into inorganic matter.

Allan romero

Endeavor has the best animation in his fights

Subaru130

Man, the shot of Gentle and Deku with tears in their eyes gets me every time. Definitely one of my favorite episodes of the season. Just feels so meaningful to have Gentle, the first villain Deku reached out to, come back and save them as Deku's about to begin battling the actual Shigaraki persona, another villain that Deku wants to save.

Rhythem

Still brings tears to my eyes when Gentle, La Brava, and Nagant shows up. 🥹 Everybody coming together for one shared goal to save the world!!

HBelmont67

The flames do stand out more in bad weather. I noticed that during the Dark Deku arc last season.

Aeriyah

Lunch Rush and Creati are teamed up because she uses her lipids to create things. Basically, she needs to eat and transform that food into energy to keep powering her quirk.

BojacksReacts

If only thou can lend out a hand, then that chance can embark the beginning of new cycle, start the new journey for the next generation. The story MHA differs from other anime with its symbolism, and the way it’s actually using kids to display how these symbols can help inflict change is incredible. My top 3 eps of the season 🙏💯

HBelmont67

Dude, the visual of Shigiraki's new form bursting out of his body goes INSANELY hard.

HBelmont67

The shot of Gentle and La Brava's reunion actually warms my heart. ☺️ It's nice to know that at least some characters were happy during this show's darkest hour.

Kiribukai

I never caught on to the mushroom pun until now, lol! Love that! 🤣🍄

Kiribukai

This episode is so beautiful! I love Gentle, La Brava, and Nagant’s return SO MUCH! I knew Nagant was too cool of a character, there was no way she wasn’t coming back sometime. But I truly didn’t think we would ever see Gentle and La Brava again. They became some of my favorite characters after this one! 🥹 *tears* Can’t believe we are getting so close to the end of the season….

Kiribukai

Episode 19 might be one of my favorites of all of anime! Looking forward to Kenny and Montana watching the rest of the season. It’s just so good! 🥺

Kiribukai

Yes!! So beautiful! 🥹🥹🥹

Babybear47

Gentle criminals quirk gradually elasticized overtime it's not in particularly said an exact time but thought I'd put that out there.

Danny C

There’s something so perfect about Gentle’s backstory. His final mistake that sent him over the edge was trying to catch someone falling and failing, and now here he is, catching the coffin from falling and succeeding. “Though I failed, my intentions were noble and pure” like come on 😭

Christian Nevarez

Y’all forgot that momo needs to eat to make more lipids for what she creates that why the chef was there too cook her food so she could keep going 😂

Limini

I actually love when people's quirk are kinda unrelated to their power so to speak. like la bravas hacking has nothing to do with her quirk and mei's zoom has nothing to do with her brilliant mind. So imagine lunch rush just having like a more heat resistant body or being a heteromorph and just really loving cooking

Carmen

Reaction to my favorite episode on my birthday. You two have been one of my favorite finds this year, thanks for being cool 🥹

Erin Ryan

Why does Shigaraki actually look so fine here lol

MaSeshield9277

The chef hero is making food to feed momo because to create things she needs lipids

HBelmont67

With the skin cape? 🤨

Noboi

He really does. Bones is great at animating fire. I feel like they saw how he was written this season and went “okay, we have to fix this somehow.”

Gestrid

I can't believe Gentle Criminal got a Might+U moment. 😭♥️

Da Ge

One of this seasons best moments

Saiyasha

The Cook is there for Yaoyorozu. Rememeber, she makes the things she creates out of her own lipids, which means she hads to be pretty much constantly shoveling food for this amount of creating.

HBelmont67

Might be my favorite use of the track

Joe Duncan

I love guys reactions, I've been with you guys for a while and I'm glad to be here

KM

I don’t think it’s been mentioned since season 3, to be fair…

HBelmont67

That's honestly the ONE thing I would change about My Hero Academia, if I could: the timeline. I would've preferred we'd gotten more time between arcs and had the final battle start at the end of Deku and his friends' third year of high school instead of the first.

HBelmont67

I can't wait till ep 20 when we can finally discuss this further, cause that is a sentiment I do NOT agree with.

Kiribukai

I have been anxiously awaiting an update from Jump Festa all day lol The MHA panel is supposed to happen in like 30 minutes. 🙈

Mekar

Kurogiri's quirk is as powerful as the power balance between each side. At the beginning of the series Kurogiri had the exact same quirk but there was nothing the villains could bring that would match All Might. No matter what they put together if All Might was there they still lose. Now the warp matters because the power balance is deeply in their favor. Even with Deku using 100% the villains are far stronger than they were in the beginning.

Kylie Robbins

I cried when Gentle and Nagant came back, add that to MIGHT*U and I was needing tissues🤣

ZestyBlaze

I was SOBBING at this episode, the Gentle return because he had a chance to support the boy who gave him the chance to be good, and the Nagant return. A fucking masterpice and i was sobbing

Rhythem

Soooo not sure if you guys know about it, but there's a spinoff manga called MHA Vigilantes. And it just got an anime announcement!! And it's gonna start broadcasting in April 2025?!?! Lol I wonder how fast the English dub will come out.

HBelmont67

Oh snap, I didn't realize it had gotten an anime adaptation greenlit. Guess I have no choice but to check it out. Also, that fast? My Hero Academia season eight is supposed to come in 2025, so is this gonna drop RIGHT after?

Rhythem

I heard that season 8 is coming out in fall but I could be wrong.

Keyblade

I always thought of Gentle and La Brava as the most underwhelming and boring parts of MHA, because they felt like filler villains. But after seeing how they aid in the final battle, I greatly appreciated them. I did not expect them AT ALL and then they made me tear up.

Isosceles

Headcannon that La Brava’s quirk is even stronger if the love she feels is reciprocated

Brendan O'Connor

This is random, but I appreciated Montana’s reasonable response to seeing Skeptic use his quirk. Anthopomorph is really creepy to me and I forget sometimes that’s his quirk and not his computer skills

Brendan O'Connor

Skeptic tells Re-Destro in Season 5 that he’s only failed once in his life, I think that was when La Brava hacked him

Wisdom Abrahamson

I mean, gentle criminal got so insanely close to beating deku in their fight, he’s strong asf, smart too

HBelmont67

I LOVE how this was revealed to be what happened. 🤣🤣🤣

HBelmont67

Surprised y'all missed it at the start of this operation 😅

Kiribukai

Yep! April for Vigilantes and October for Season 8. Confirmed yesterday at Jump Festa! I was hoping for Summer for season 8, but at least Vigilantes will keep me entertained until October!

FracturedPeaks

The yellow shield quirk isn’t the reflect quirk

Letts React

He did not get close to beating Deku id say haha but he did do well!

HBelmont67

When New Order was ravaging AFS from the inside, he said Reflect was one of the Quirks destroyed.

HBelmont67

Is Vigilantes gonna be a one and done season, or is the story longer than that?

Kiribukai

I believe the manga has 128 chapters and it’s completed. So I am not sure how long of a series that would make it? A couple of seasons I guess???

AllMightsBaDussy

But if his body is reversed would he not get quirks back? Thats what his brother was telling Deku

Letts React

That was for shigaforone, not all for one

Letts React

All for one didnt lose reflect, only shigaraki

Braden Jackson

I believe the quirk he used on hawks was part of the combined pair for the EMP attack reflect to my knowledge doesn't have a big effect when used

HBelmont67

The Quirks AFO stole don't count as his physical body, and therefore aren't affected by Rewind.

Delinda Arts

He just wanted to save someone from falling and he finally gets his redeeming moment!

Saiyasha

And it does beg the question: If there really is such a shortage of heroes that they _need_ to involve the students... where the heck are the second years and the rest of the third years? Like, Mirio, Amajiki and Hado may be "The big Three" but they have to have _classmates_ right???

gamerx

That didn't affect All for One btw any quirks destroyed inside shigaraki did nothing to all for one

gamerx

The quirks are affected by rewind in a previous episode it said that all for ones quirks are increasing because he is being rewound

gamerx

I didn't know it had an anime announcement

gamerx

He's a support type

FracturedPeaks

It’s the air wall shield nine uses that can shoot gust of air

Allan romero

If you thought this episode was good just wait for episode 19 that was a masterpiece

Erin Ryan

I'm so excited for Kenny to see what All Might is up to

Erin Ryan

I love next episode so much just because of one character moment

jolly

“wait does he kinda look like bakugo” when shigaraki literally was seeing flashes of him while fighting bakugo cause they look alike😭

SageJ

I’m sure this was said, but Lunch Rush was needed there so that Creati could keep making the materials she was producing.

SageJ

And I’m with ya Kenny. This episode always gets a tear out of me when Gentle and La Brava do their thing.

Chase

Yeah I would say the same deku was only using 20% full cowling and still beat gentle but gentle is still decently strong and his quirk is really useful

Erin Ryan

I love how every character with Bryce Papenbrook as their VA is just Eren Jeager

Joe Keeler

I think the two of you forgot creati's ability requires lipids to work, so she needs to eat ALOT to make big stuff like this, so the chef is CLUTCH to keep her active.

Matt

Hey could we reduce the number of Arcane Season 2 references. I know you guys just watched it so its fresh in the mind but not everyone's gotten around to watching it yet. Love your reactions! And sorry for the negative comment.

Teib _21

Wasn’t the chef for Momo to eat and make stuff, since she needs her lipids to create stuff?

iTanasia

ABSENCE MAKES THE HEART GROW FONDER

Ferret

Ahem. YOU CAN BE A HERO! IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW LONG IT'S BEEN OR HOW LATE IT FEELS, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU'VE DONE OR WHAT MISTAKES YOU'VE MADE, IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU'VE TRIED AND FAILED BEFORE! IF YOU SAVE PEOPLE, IF YOU FIGHT FOR WHAT'S RIGHT, IF YOU DO THE HEROIC THING, THEN YOU! CAN! BE! A! HERO!

HBelmont67

Honestly, I think he does better as Inosuke. I saw him in Demon Slayer before AoT, and he's so perfect as the first character that I can't unhear him.

Wisdom Abrahamson

10:22 the twices are being affected by the fire, there are just so many that it doesn’t matter that some are dying to the fire

Wisdom Abrahamson

11:44, he was expecting to be arrested by all might immediately after creating kurogiri, so he gave kurogiri the best escape based quirk, and put him in charge of protecting his disciple, it makes more sense that AFO didn’t have warp if you think of it that way, shigiraki wouldn’t have survived if kurogiri and AFO had their warp quirks switched the whole series

Marco Garcia

It’s criminal how gentle this episode was 😭

HBelmont67

He is NOT appreciated enough for crafting this amazing story
