Just FYI, in that early episode where Hisoka made the guys arms “disappear”, he actually just cut them off and the anime censored it.

It’s not always best to go for 3 others remember for the ppl you take one from it’s worth 3 meaning if they are stronger than you, you now have to protect from 3 ppl instead of 1 til times up unless you kill them which is why hisoka can do this as he’s a diff caliber someone like gon who doesn’t know everyone’s skill set is better off going for hisoka even it’s risky since hisoka might not kill based on previous interactions

you can't be one dimensional, while watching this anime, the one vs three people is very situational depending on your own skills versus the random people you meet. there also might be a situation where someone has a sense of honour or ego to the target they get.

interesting comparison of the HXH characters to the ATLA cast! at first i thought "how is it obvious who's who (aside from gon being aang)?", but i guess it does make sense. i think i was confused because skill-wise sokka is closer to kurapika (strategist), but definitely in terms of his role in the group, he's leorio (comic relief)

Yall neglect to remember that this exam is testing many different skill sets of the applicants, including their perception abilities. As killua even complained, "i should have memorized the other people's numbers" (which is significantly easier down to 24 ppl) And as others have noted, going for 3 other people isn't necessarily the best strategy. You don't know how many of them are strong (which at this phase is a good bet they all are) so that's three fights compared to one

Going after 3 people is a bad idea if you are not one of the strongest there since both the people you stole from and the people hunting those numbers are after you now also find fighting and taking one is already time consuming for even the stronger contestants let alone 3

This is aimed at anyone, you know how they were wondering if hisoka could see better through a hole like that, you can actually, provided of course, the hole is WAY smaller. If you're near sighted like me it can be useful if you have no glasses. Touch your index and thumb together to make that circle, but bend your middle finger so that it makes a TINY triangle behind it. You'll be able to see clearly pretty far
