Can't wait for y'all to see the next few episodes!!

I think gon is just a very prideful person and doesn't like doing things the easy way as he sees a hunter as the ultimate trial for life

Gdawg88

“I love the narrator” lol wait til the CA arc haha 😆

Gdawg88

Montana is on one today ahaha. She’s hilarious

Cosmic Youth

I believe Hisoka was waiting for Leorio and Kurapika to get a few hours headstart because he knew after their encounter he was going to kill whoever he saw next and he already decided not to kill them.

Clarissa

Am I the only one who likes hisoka? Like I know he's creepy but I love how dynamic his character is

narutorunner

Yup, and the next two arcs are some of my favorites as well

David Garcia

Not at all, I think Hisoka is a fantastic antagonist albeit with some kinda sketchy moral areas

Clarissa

Yeah kinda sketchy haha

Andrew Blades

Hisoka is one of my all time favorite anime characters. His motivations are very nuanced and unstereotypical compared to most "villains" of other shows.

Tyshawn Evans

i’m glad that you guys actually pay attention to & question the hidden puzzle & complex layers the creator laid out in this story. you’ll realize Gon isn’t what he seems sooner than later

Joe Dunams

My theory for why Hisoka stood in place all night is because he was trying to compose himself so he didn't go on a murderous rampage. He was clearly struggling to control himself.

Bdflames

agreed, also side note i hate how badass he is in the hunter exam+ just kinda in general, he was my favorite character in the show till.. yk..

HBelmont67

BTW, today marks one year since Akira Toriyama's passing. 🙏

Mary Baker

It’s interesting that they sometimes compare Gon and Deku. I believe Gon is actually more like Bakugo: they both hate losing/being confronted with their own weakness, and they don’t want to owe anyone. Both desire to achieve their goals with their own strength, not because someone handed them the win or went easy on them.

Mary Baker

I had the exact same thought.

Strike177

The aura you seen is just a visual representation of the bloodlust/malice he was oozing so much so all the animals could sense it and ran, so he had to stand there all night to get it under control but lost it again when he seen the old man and once he got the kill he was back to his "normal" self.

Mary Baker

Can anyone tell me at what point it is too late to add questions for episodes? I’m new to Patreon and am still unsure how certain things are done.

Braden Jackson

I try to do them as quickly as possible from the time they are released but you should have at least 2 or more days to ask a question after the episodes release but I don’t really know any specifics

Æther Paradox

Knowing about the power system that is to come has yall taking some WILD turns (not all bad) The author is on record saying that he didn't even conceptualize the power system until later in the writing. So what Hisoka was displaying in the forest was as Montana said, just a stylistic choice. This was also the second swing at this anime (1999 being the original I believe) so it is possible that they are trying to hint at a power system without TELLING us. HXH is great at explaining stuff. So if there is a informational question you have 9.5 times out of ten the dialog will outright answer it for you. Im excited for you to keep watching.

Goldy

It's not a theory he literally says it 😭

JoeMyGodGaming

as someone who hasn't watched this show before the episodes feel short. probably bc im so into it but I wish they'd do two per post. classic over asking ik but I refuse to watch the show on my own lol.

Saiyasha

I think this episode shows a crucial difference between Gon and most other Shonen Protagonists: If it were Deku or Naruto or Edward, they would have tried to _warn_ the person encountering Hinsoka. Gon doesn't really care about them. he has no qualms letting this situation play out. He _knows_ their going to die if they encounter Hisoka like this and it never even crosses his mind to intervene. he did cosnider it for Kurapika and Leorio, because he _knows_ them, but Gon is very Neutral towards most people he doesn't consider friends and while he doesn't kill, he also isn't really fazed by the death of humans.

Putrefax

I know you guys are talking a lot about the bloodlust outburst from Hisoka. It was so overpowering that every wild animal in a pretty large radius ran for the hills, in the sub Gon describes it as feeling like being in the middle of a dangerous jungle. Probably makes it difficult to sneak up on people, i reckon Hisoka just had to spend all night just to conceal his bloodlust the way Gon is hiding his presence.

Gdawg88

If they haven’t liked any questions on the episode question post, then you can still ask. They being Kenny. So if you see that they liked a question that means they already watched that episode. But if they haven’t liked any questions then you can still ask

David L

Ya, Togashi does a pretty great job of writing complex villains/antagonists that feel like real dynamic people who aren't just evil because the narrative demands it. (Not that there is anything wrong with that necessarily)

Millie L

I wish this series would go to 2 episodes per release. Otherwise, it will take forever to get to the good episodes worthy of reaction videos... Hunter x Hunter is fantastic, but it's stacked with its god-tier episodes, all of which are on the back end of the series. At this rate, it will take a full year to get to the Greed Island arc, which is when the show really starts picking up.

Cube Pylum

What do you mean back end? Every arc except for this one is peak

patricia jimjimcherie

Hisoka has so many goated moments. My favorite anime character since I was 8 years old back in 2004 with the 1999 version. 26:56 if only that was the reason LOL

FearTheDee

I am so excited for the power system to be introduced, but you're still a bit away from it. It truly is one of the best power systems of all media. Very complex yet simple.

David Treago

"God I love the narrator" "Me too" Alright remind me 100 episodes from now to ask about that
