Good luck waiting a whole week lol

HBelmont67

I wouldn't mind a double drop 😓

HBelmont67

Oh my gosh, you both look so good! 😃😁👍🏼 I actually went to my first Ren Faire just last week. Had a great time, and I can't wait to go again in full costume.

Uscmiller22

That almost hauntingly sad song at the end you mentioned was none other than Matt Mercer himself. Guy is just loaded with talent.

It's vox machina monday!! Oh...no it's this one D:

cryptc

Was waiting for this one, I'm a sucker for tragedies... LOL on suggesting the trope of returning with a brother with same build and almost identical name... Would love to see what Matt would say if a player tried to pull that at his table.

Im honestly mad that we didn't get bercy now lol

Kaleb

I have been WAITING for this, Montana saying “why didn’t anyone tell us” made me break into a laugh while also crying

HBelmont67

So, does anyone know what Ripley's class would be in this episode?

StorytellerDave

In the campaign she was the same class as Percy, Fighter with the same Gunslinger subclass that Matt Mercer created for Percy. She used action surge and grit points just like Percy did.

HBelmont67

I'm still firmly in support of Castlevania taking Vox Machina's place when season three's done.

brosenthalUO

She also had at least 5 levels of Wizard because she could cast 3rd level Wizard spells

HBelmont67

That's cause of Orthax and Cabal's Ruin, right?

mastertater

Just thought about it but have anyone ask if they can watch black cover

By the way you guys look sooo awesome. I love the proud nerdiness on this channel it's so freeing. Kenny your earpiece and fit are dope and monty looks gorg (as per use). The facepaint is a cute touch! Glad you guys had fun. This is definitely the show to rep the fit on too lol

I actually went to my first Ren Faire around a week ago; just stumbled on it thinking it was something for Halloween. Had a fun time. Got some costume pieces over my regular clothes, but I'm gonna make more of an effort to dress up next year. 🗡️😁

Having Orthax and Cabal's Ruin almost makes her OP. Which is fine, she is one of my favorite villains on this show.

We know it's coming, but we cannot spoil.

This episode is always a gut-punch. For one thing, bye plot armor. It is a well-done death. Percy's subplot is complete. He's come full circle. For another, this season of TLOVM came out around the same time as Arcane and it's hard not to compare the two shows -- especially after this episode. The use of lighting when Percy said "I'm in love with you" to Vex was subtle but laden with meaning. For a second, Vex was illuminated by the dawn. But she chose to step back in the shadow. All of that felt somewhat uneasy, but it gains in significance in retrospect by the episode's end. Lastly, we are getting close to my favorite episode of all three seasons of TLOVM, and I can't wait to see the reaction.

2026-09-19 15:00 I love Matthew Mercer singing at the end, he has a really neat voice, I like that he sand more this season. I think half the CR cast has a song in the show already.

Percy worried he hasn't changed from his single minded pursuit of revenge. Yet now we see he did change, cause if he hadn't he would still be alive.

I think you guys just experienced the true Critical Role Halloween episode experience, dressed to the 9s while something tragic happens 😅😅😅😅

My favorite distinction between heroes and villains is that a hero usually uses pain as a driving factor in order to keep people from suffering the same pain, while a villain inflicts their pain on others. Percy was on the path of revenge which can be seen as justice but it almost made him into a villain. Ripley may have had altruistic motives which can garner sympathy, but in the end she chose to inflict pain on innocents, making her a true villain. We can always understand and relate with a villains motives, while still condemning their actions. Matt is really good with creating villains that we can connect to while simultaneously hating their actions lol

Your commentary this episode is sending me y’all were so funny😭😭😭
