Top 3 episode all time, I think as sad as it was Stain went out the way he would have wanted, being a true hero trying to save others and help All Might, with Bakugo back in action its all up to him and Deku to end this, keep an eye out next episode the intro changes.

BTW a really good animator, Vincent Chansard, did some key moments in the next episode it's arguably one of if not the best animated episodes of anime in 2025 aside from his work on one piece

This entire episode is SUCH a well-executed red herring for All Might's death. It would suck, it would be SOOO tragic if All Might had died here. 😞 That being said, it was also set up SUPREMELY well.

What's interesting is that the music they play at the very end after Bakugo shows up is actually the music from when Flect, the villain of the third movie, was talking to his cult. A bit of an out there choice for OST, but it really worked for the scene.

If I could change just one thing, I would've liked if Stain's last words, instead of, "My All Might", would've been, "My Hero." 😭

Kenny, I feel the exact same as you. I can recognize that it might not be objectively “the best,” but MHA has made me feel things I never felt before and truly speaks to a part of my soul. This final season has even pushed me to watch sub for once lol. Anyways, you guys are awesome and have truly exceptional episodes waiting for you guys. Stay blessed

I've noticed both last season and this one have reused tracks from that movie for key Bakugo scenes. For example, his final attack against Shigiraki has the same music as Deku's fight against Flect.

I love AOT and objectively better written but MHA just fills us with so much hope, hype and joy. I love AOT but it sort of felt me feeling depressed, but that is also purposeful for the author.

Fun fact: The comic Baby All Might is reading in the flashback at the beginning of this episode is a real comic series. 'Anpanman' by Takashi Yanase is extremely popular with Japanese children, although virtually unknown elsewhere in the world. It's kind of like a fusion of Superman and The Gingerbread Man, about a superhero made of baked goods with all the classic powers like flight, super-strength, durability, et cetera. His head is made of 'anpan', a type of bread bun filled with red bean paste, and if the anpan goes stale, mouldy, soggy, or otherwise becomes less than pristine, he loses his powers until he gets a new one, like Superman being exposed to Kryptonite.

It's kind of fucked up of All Might to use Bakugo's "quirk" as a self-destruct. Like, they didn't know he'd come back and if All Might killed himself using Explosion, it would make Bakugo hate himself more than he already does for the Kamino incident.

“My Hero” & “Deku vs Kacchan part 2”

You know in Goblet of Fire when Cedric Diggory’s dad is like “Let me through! That’s my son! That’s my boy! My boy!” That’s exactly what I sounded like at the end of this episode 🤣 but seriously, I was sobbing! What a moment to bring Bakugo back! 😭 This whole episode was so stressful because All Might has been giving death to me since the very beginning of the show. And when AFO used Stain’s quirk on All Might, I wanted to throw my phone at the TV because I thought that was it 😭 but now we still can have hope! Why? Cause Dynamight is here! 🥹 (Also, How gorgeous is the art and animation this season?! That last frame of Deku and Bakugo… oh my gosh! 😍)

My husband argues with me all the time that there are tons of animes that are “better” than MHA. But like, I don’t care?! lol 😂 MHA is so special to me and I adore it! It was the my first anime that I watched as an adult that brought me back into the anime world. It gave me some of my favorite characters too! Bakugo and Dabi are in my top 5 most loved fictional characters of all time. 🥹 Honestly, If an anime or manga can give me characters that I love, I will be hooked forever. 🧡

I guess at the end of the day, the symbol of peace’s light will never really go out. Even when All Might stumbles, the people he inspired will always be there. Midoriya, Bakugo, Stain, heck even those American pilots. That’s the second time America has come in to save the day only to get beaten by All for One. Still though, it’s REALLY inspiring. Like, things come full circle with the kids that looked up to All Might being the ones that inspired him to keep living.

As twisted as it is, I kinda like Shigiraki's expression when All For One's about to kill All Might. Even though he's rejected his master and started forging his own path (rightfully so), the one thing the two of them still agree on is their hatred of All Might.

I know the focus at the start of the episode is on baby All Might, but can we take a moment to appreciate his mom for a quick sec? Like, Horikoshi, sir. Can you ever NOT cook with the female characters in this show?? And Toshinori clearly remembers her fondly, so add this woman to the dwindling list of actually good parents in My Hero. 🥲

Completely agree. The characters are what suck me in with any show, book, movie, game, etc. I indulge in. Doesn't matter how good the production quality or writing is; if I'm not invested enough into the characters, I tend to check out.
