Fun fact: Jester's momma is voiced by the legendary Anika Noni Rose, who voiced Tiana in the princess and the frog. She herself said it was a lot of fun to voice a mature character for once, because she tends to voice more characters in kids movies. Love her singing voice

Fjord put on the accent because he’s trying to imitate his captain Vandran, that’s why they highlighted his reflection and bracers before Fjord introduced himself to Jester. Travis is from Texas and they got Tim Mcgraw to voice Vandran :)

You mentioned Will being called a sorcerer in Stranger Things. It is actually a correct analogy in that time period because in the 1980's, the warlock class wasn't cannon.

BTW, we've heard about Jester's mom before in Vox Machina. In season three, Scanlan's daughter's band sang about the "Ruby of the Sea", and this was around twenty years before the events of Mighty Nein.

The funny thing about you asking if Jester is a Warlock, is that originally Jester WAS a warlock! But apparently went they were thinking of characters while at home, Laura was taking about Warlocks and how she was thinking of doing that, and Travis basically was like ooh wait I kind like that...so instead Laura decided to go Cleric instead bc Travis was struggling to think of something else to play haha

I love Jester so much! Laura Bailey is kind of an improv god, she's hysterical in the campaign. I think they did a great job of translating her energy in the show's script. Also, I really like how they characterize her healing spell as a teddy bear doing stitches. This show's portrayal of magic is really neat! I like seeing the spell components, too. In one of my first games, I learned the lesson of needing to read the spell components real quick when I wanted to resurrect an NPC and the DM was like "...do you have a diamond worth at least 500g?" lol whoops

haven't seen this season of Stranger Things yet, but to comment on the "Warlock versus Sorcerer" comment, a Warlock wasn't really a thing back then. it only makes sense that they're equating him to their best reference at that time
