Ending two series in one day. You're the GOATS, you guys. 😁

HBelmont67

Montana thought of April when seeing "Tracy," but my mind went to Catra lol. 🤣

SPARKLE

and we're getting the arguably most requested show after Vinland too!!

cryptc

I get so much chills at the music when one card hits the ground "Eye", this show is so well made

StorytellerDave

Yasha seeing the blue flowers at the start and remembering the field of blue flowers...

StorytellerDave

12:20 - Oscar is the male lead in that erotica book Jester picked up called Tusk Love. It was originally a bit from the campaign, but Critical Role actually got a writer to write a real Tusk Love book and it's apparently a best seller lol

StorytellerDave

18:50 - The noises Nott hears in the sewers are actually the same noises the Kryn soldiers make later in the ep. It basically foreshadowed that they used the sewers to get in and out and would run into the Mighty Nein at the end. I love the little details they planted.

JaySpotTx

Great series, can't wait for S2 and looking forward to June to hit for TLoVM S4...

Geo23

With Vox Machina coming out in the summer and season 2 of The Mighty Nein coming after that at some point. The Critical Role animated shows are certainly going to be going for a while. Vox Machina will end at the fifth season and we have plenty of M9 after that. It will be great to see and watch your reactions since you haven't seen the campaigns

StorytellerDave

Montana had the same reaction to Yasha's intro to the group as I did. Just the contrast between her brutality and raw power from her previous scenes and the vulnerability she shows in that final moment as she begs for help is so massive, you immediately have to wonder wtf can scare someone as strong as her to that degree

StorytellerDave

+ we might get a Calamity movie at some point

HBelmont67

I seriously still can't believe they chose to end the first season RIGHT when Yasha's supposed to end the group! 😱

StorytellerDave

Honestly I was super surprised because before the series I kept trying to predict at what point into the campaign would they end it, and it's really early, but also not entirely chronological so some stuff is re-shuffled. I expected them to cover a lot more, but the fact that they didn't just tells me they wanna do a lot of seasons of Mighty Nein. There's 140+ episodes and they covered like what? 20? We could have at least 7 seasons lol

Erin Ryan

I just got back for work and I can't decide if I should watch this or invinvble or the VInland saga reaction IDKKK

AuroraZero_

Man I cant describe how excited I am for yall to see where this story goes! And im so excited to see how they rewrite everything! Bc its so different but the way they get the beacon is very similar, in the sewers, fighting a hurt Kyrn soilder, the darkness spell! Ahhh im so fucking excited XD SO MANY things to come!

HBelmont67

Who wore it better: Jester or Beau?

RED

Hehe get it feather FALL and he uses a brown leaf

Ethan Brown

This is just some funny background knowledge but you are in fact correct, Essek wasn't actually meant to be a big character in Matt's vision for the campaign but when he first introduced him and how he floats around instead of walking the party latched on to him so hard and WOULD NOT LET IT GO to the point where Matt gave him a more in depth character arc so they party could see him more lol.

Timothy Heck

I'm actually so bummed that the Oscar bit doesn't land in the show from what I've seen from reactors! For others, here's a link to a "Table to Screen" comparison https://youtu.be/nzYFzCi8pjk?si=cvdrgKaaPjUMee7c (careful about the comment section, people can drop spoilers) tl;dw: was such a good improv moment in the campaign: Matt describes the contents of Tusk Love, a book Jester bought at a spicy book store. It's a saucy romance between a half orc and the daughter of a traveling merchant. Laura asks what the name of the half-orc is: "Oskar." Fjord asks "Whatcha readin' there, Jester?" She replies: "Nothing, Oskar~"

Timothy Heck

The perception checks to see if he was really floating or just had heelies or a scooter had me rolling lol

StorytellerDave

I also love the bit she has with Beau in the inn, where she reads it out loud and Beau has that line about Jester learning about love through smut XD

HBelmont67

Beau's "Tracy" identity was even better in the live stream. Marisha used it to seduce a guard NPC who was being played by Matt Mercer. It was basically Marisha flirting with her husband for four minutes straight. 🤣🤣

HBelmont67

I love all the difference interactions between the Nein, but Beau and Jester might be one of my favorites. Heck, Jester's just fun with ANYONE you pair her with. ☺️

HBelmont67

You know, for an old guy, Trent knows how to throw DOWN. The entire Trent vs Essek fight was so awesome. I LOVED the visuals and sound effects of their magic. It's rare in either Vox Machina or Mighty Nein to have to true "wizard's duel" like this, so this fight stood out even more.

Are you editing or encoding your videos differently now? I can't chromecast any recent ones. Change since you moved? Episode 6 i could chromecast. Not 7 or 8. Tried some other recent posts and they wont load.

HBelmont67

Fun fact: the woman in Yasha's flashback is voiced by Adora from She-Ra and the Princesses of Power! Also, they name-dropped the Storm Lord, the same diety worshipped by Earthbreaker Groon from Vox Machina. 🌩️ Not so fun fact: She-Ra got taken off of Netflix one month ago. ☹️

dannydarko27

I havent been able to chromecast anything to my vizio for the last 3 months

dannydarko27

I almost forgot about that lmfao

silentinfinity

There is a bug with patreon in general. Chromecast like YouTube first. Then while that's connected, patreon should show the option

NevaraRaven

I would love for one more "episode" in this reaction series to at least a few Table to Screen moments. They wouldn't be spoilers since they were already displayed in the animated show itself. I find it so fun to see myself!

StorytellerDave

Like a leaf on the wind I like how they reskinned the DnD spells a little, but you can still very much recognize them.

StorytellerDave

I have to see Kenny's reaction to Nott and Jester breaking into the temple of the Platinum Dragon. It's the most 2 characters have been fucked to then be completely fine ever. He'd lose his mind

dannydarko27

I cant wait for more of MN, hopefully its not too long a wait between seasons. Side note: Vess is a wizard not a blood hunter. Remember shes a part of the elite magic society: the Cerberus Assembly, and although BH can use blood magic , they are still considered warriors and not mages
