DOUBLE DROP.

Fuck it, let’s get a TRIPLE 🗣🗣🗣

Rob Carlstrom

"A prayer is an action of the heart" netero "Applause is an acclamation of the sould" todo

Cash1221

Top 3 episode in the series

Jonathon Swift

This is one of my favorite fights, although it seems one-sided at first. Netero's words were chilling. Netero's nen and heart are usually calm making his moves unpredictable, but the moment the King praises him, Netero was no longer calm . But in truth, humans are the most dangerous in the world.

Azzy Drem

The peak of human effort means nothing in the face of the power of a nuclear bomb. The world, nature, provided the material and chemicals needed to produce such power, humans merely put together nature's resources in such a way so as to unlock that power. Meruem, in his final moments, realized just how much of a child he was, compared to the history of humanity; Netero, in his final moments gave up on his own hard work, and resorted to a nuke, a force of nature that no amount of human effort could overcome.

Something to note, in the sub, Netero says “You know nothing about humanity’s infinite potential for evolution” and that’s because in the manga, the way evolution is written has a double meaning. It means both evolution, but also malice. So it’s a play in words. Humanity’s endless potential to grow is intrinsically tied to our malicious nature. The beginning of 127 is actually one of my favorites. Togashi always has great social commentary.

Another thing, Gege Akutami, the author of JJK, is a huge fan of HxH and Togashi. In the Todo and Yuji vs Mahito fight he references HxH twice. Todo says “The act of applause is an acclamation of the soul.” As a reference to Netero’s “You believe I cannot pray with a single hand? A prayer comes from the heart.” And then, when Yuuji waits for Mahito, right before that quote from Todo, Yuuji is in the same position Gon uses to charge Rock.

Triple dropp!!

Not going to lie would love a thumb nail of 8:28/13:30/21:35 I mean it look sick like 8:28 being the sides of the screen and 13:30 being in middle bottom fading with 21:35 on middle top ooof beautiful... Sorry my opinion but still felt to say!

Gdawg88

Funny that you mention the ball game because during the game, the boys note that Netero has only been using 1 arm and 1 legs to still easily protect the ball. Which arm and leg do you think Mereum took from Netero during the fight? Man this battle was so epic and that line from Netero is my favorite of the series. The ants are more so instinctive than evil. Humans are evil. Humans are the real monsters

Meruem: Ohh shit they got bombs!!??

Facts I love the beginning to 127

jolly

how are your eyes doing kenny?

Knov or Morel

Kenny made a great point. Netero, the master of Nen use, going with a dirty bomb is like a wizard from harry potter pulling out a shotgun

Knov or Morel

Montana will often refer to "the writers" of this show, She would be so much more impressed to know the story and artwork is created all by one person over decades

It's also cleverly mentioned when Netero first arrives to this fight, that they are in an old weapons testing area. The ultimate truth being hinted at is that humanity could have easily dealt with the ants, but were much more concerned with the political fallout of invading of nuking the capital of a country. This way either nobody notices or, even if word got out that a nuke was set off, it's just happening in a place that has happened before so nobody is going to care.

David L

It's cool the ending of this fight was also kind of an evolution of the similar fights we've seen. Just like Gon's fight with Genthru, Netero essentially came in with a plan to more or less guarantee victory, despite the cost being his own life. In theory, he probably could have done this right from the start, just self-destructed on top of Meruem the moment they landed. All the fighting was mostly just because he wanted to try and do it through his own power even if the odds of that working were effectively zero.

Noach

I love how thats the "miniature" rose, and it's stronger than anything we've seen so far

patricia jimjimcherie

It's so good! I also love that moment in 128 when Gon gets up and shocks everyone

Erin Ryan

Damn this week has been nothing but peak

cc_drawsthings

Dolorosa

thank you for the double upload, you guys are the bestt

The whole theme of this arc is a question about humanity, what it is, and who decides what and who is human and is not. We have seen great kindness from both ants and humans, but we have also seen great cruelty from both. Humans can be the most selfless, kind and generous creatures and they can also be the most depraved and vile monsters. The big question what, really, make sthe ants so different? They evolve, the ydapt, the do things for their own and others benefir. Where is the line between them?

Erin Ryan

Miniature rose is such a good twist. "Why don't they just drop a bomb or use a gun" has been a such a common question I have watching shows that I don't even bother thinking of an answer. Punching and using powers is cooler and using scientific advanced weapons almost feels like cheating. They even baited us with this in the Yorknew City arc when Uvogin tanked and crushed a rocked launcher with the palm in his hand. Which makes the twist even more shocking

Logan Bradford

It's interesting to think that if Netaro failed, the government would just nuke the whole place, easily beating the chimera ants.

Erin Ryan

Meruems transition to sitting down after cutting off neteros arm was crazy

Nathan Beach

Did you catch the other parallel with the first arc and the game he played with gon? In that game, the rule was he could only use one arm and one leg...

Chris Jarrett

Always assumed this was a nod to hxh, happy to see it confirmed!
