A lot of people write off Pitou’s apology as insincere, but Pitou’s apology and empathy is sincere. Think about in her knowledge Gon no longer has any leverage, she could’ve killed him before she walked in the room, But she was grateful enough and had enough empathy to tell him the honest truth and give her sympathies. Truthfully I don’t really see how Pitou gets so much hate just from killing Kite. I mean Kite is a Hunter he knew what he was getting into. To me it’s like if someone hunts wild bears and then gets killed by one you can’t blame a bear for being a bear. Pitou at that time was just incapable of feeling any shred of empathy for anyone but the King, but after seeing firsthand how much Komugi means to the King, she sympathizes with Gon who lost something precious to him despite having no reason to.

People got attached to kite. Also people love Gon so seeing *him* so "upset"(not strong enough word but oh well) over the loss gets people upset over seeing him so broken up over it and reason for kites fate is known so people get angry at pitou🤷

The parallels between Killua and Pitou are crazy. Gon and Meruem are clearly foils of each other in this arc. Meruem is light to PItou the same way Gon is to Killua. Before finding their light they were killing machines but after meeting they slowly gain more humanity. This story is so beautiful I love hxh

Understanding that Pitou witnessing what happened to Komugi, and the subsequent response from the King, gave Pitou a level of empathy she didn't have before, but then missing what that means for her *genuine* apology to Gon is very funny. Also, on Pouf's Beelzebub ability giving him shapeshifting powers, and being an ass-pull: Pouf already has elements from at least one other creature we've seen earlier in the show. The butterflies from the Hunter Exam that hypnotize travelers with their scales. I wonder if there is a race of creature we see around the same time who exhibits shapeshifting abilities that would explain Pouf's power. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

in the manga its shown that kite was the most dad he ever had. kite stayed on there home Island and help to raise him. the Publisher pressures the creator to make the story faster so they can make the Money faster. if it was for the pp creators of shows it mostly would have so much more development then it already has.
