I like how they've been doing new shows back to back to back since the year started. First Mighty Nein, then Castlevania, Apothecary Diaries, Dandadan, and soon either Dr Stone, Black Clover, or Naruto (REEAALLY hoping it's the first one). All these new shows within a few months has been so much fun. 😁

That's good for them and all but I really hope not. That shit's way too long and should probably be watched with Shippuden, thus I think it should probably be watched on their own time rather than on this channel. Regardless another incredibly long battle show whatever the term is immediately after one just seems not great.

plus somethin' like Doctor Stone is both new/more unique, not nearly that long, and finishing soon if I remember correctly. Would give them a break from somethin' like this before another incredibly long series with lots of repeated action so it still feels exciting and doesn't get kind of boring.

Agreed. There are shows you react to, and shows you watch. Stuff like Naruto and One Piece are definitely in the latter category. Meanwhile, Dr Stone is both intelligent and funny, as well as heartwarming at times. I KNOW, more than anything, that they would adore it more than the other two shows. And it is ending, like you said, so they'd have the opportunity to watch it in its entirety.

Also kenny ging doesnt have any future sight powers he’s just doing what pariston and just predicting an outcome. If you remember his dialogue with cheadle its just something high level hunters should be able to do. Just like pariston predicting things so that the outcome goes their way is just a game for them

I dunno if I'd consider Leorio a father figure really, he's a simply a good friend, despite the 7 year age gap. The only thing he's really done that felt "fatherly" to me is when he told them to get the more useful phones in York New. Thus protecting the kids from the grifter. While it wasn't shown as well in the anime I'd say Kite is the true father figure to Gon.

It's just a running joke in the fandom; Leorio is the "dad of the group", Kurapika is the "mom of the group" and Gon and Killua are their kids. It's just for fun, I don't genuinely see Leorio as fatherly (he's at most a cool big brother, he's only like 4 years older or somethin').

I just want Naruto because it opens up the possibility of older shows being brought to the channel. I just want older shows to at least be considered for future polls. Come on let's give older shows a slot.

I mean we had code geass (2006) and that only released 4 years after naruto (2002) so if that's what you're worried about I wouldn't be! I don't think age has ever been a deniable factor for any show they watch :) which is great cause personally I'd love if they ever reacted to Inuyasha.

I actually started Inuyasha not too long ago (I had to watch SOMETHING after 86 got taken off Crunchyroll ☹️). Pretty good, definitely a retro anime, but there's a charm to that. 😁 Also, I fail to see how that's a good reason for them to start Naruto, no offense.

Yeah but that was back in 2023 when they covered that show, ever since then they've been sticking to newer releases. Even looking at their most recent polls there really wasn't any show listed that aired in the early 2000's. Also yes I would love Inuyasha too or Monster.

The problem is that a lot of older anime are LOOOOOONG. 😩 I know this slot is for longer anime, but imo, anything with 120+ episodes should be lower priority for them. But that's just my personal preference.

Not necessarily, it really depends on what your looking for, Neon Genesis Evangelion is 26, Cowboy Bepop is 26, Trigun is 26, Samurai Champloo is 26, Gurren Lagann is 27, FLCL is 6, Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex is 52, Baccano is 16, Paranioa Agent is 13, Eureka Seven is 50, Witch Hunter Robin is 26, Soul Eater is 51, and Ergo Proxy is 23.

Also I like to think Naruto as a Gateway into anime, particularly into getting into older shows. For example I had a friend for the longest time ever would only watch whatever is the newest trending anime and just didn't want to get into older series because they just looked old and were outdated. Which is a closed minded way of thinking in my opinion. So i introduced Naruto to him. After a week he really liked the series and got over how bad the series has aged. So he continued it and asked me whatever was popular from the early 2000's and 90's. Thus his retro journey has began.
