Thank you

OFF SKRIPT!

Oh we’re dropping on a Friday 😌👏🏾 let’s goooo

Knov or Morel

Thanks for the early drop! I humbly suggest the final 2 episodes be either a double drop or at least you guys watch the last two at the same time, it will be much more impactful and worth it viewing that way

Jojo Garlin

You guys don’t understand Gon finding Ging isn’t about wanting to meet his father. Gon puts it like this in the manga. It’s the akin of meeting a famous person who just happens to be related you. It was always about the thrill of finding him then actually wanting a relationship with Ging

Contrastjd

Imma say this I always thought most people thought ging was a dead beat and the comments were just trolling y'all.

HBelmont67

I detect a double drop next week, perhaps? 👀

HBelmont67

That would be hilarious

AcedOnez

Now this is the only major convenience plot point that I completely disagree with togashi. Nanika being at killua’s demands is a bit bullshit but ay it is what it is (I also still dont understand how alluka suddenly can change place with nanika at will as well like huh?)

AcedOnez

Some ppl are serious tho I think it’s very few

Tyshawn Evans

i mean he is but yall act like thats the #1 worst thing a parent can do & its not. people put him on par with parents who forcibly mutated their child

Jordan Johnson

He was the only person to ever treat alluka and nanika as a person

Joe Dunams

i don't think anyone ever disputes Ging is a terrible father. I think the objection is the inference that being a bad father makes him a bad hunter which he is clearly not. You can be a terrible father and really good at your job or vice versa, lol.

Phobia

Apothecary diaries?

David L

I don't think I've ever seen anyone suggest he was a good parent or even really a good person. Just that he not the literal worst dad ever just because he chose not to be one.

AcedOnez

Yet he also forgot about her for so long? I just think it is introduced so poorly and although it’s a wholesome concept and adds to killua as a character I just dislike the convenience of it all. And certain things are just inconsistent. Where in this his case alluka seem to be able to understand how nanika feels and can switch with her at will. She could even tell killua to treat nanika with kindness. Couldn’t she have expressed herself the same way with her parents? Like she didnt even make demands to her parents, is it by choice? Also no indication another sibling before then. Idk you can like it but I think there’s obvious flaws that are present.

Babybear47

No best dad, also never said he was best dad, but still relatable to feel the way he feels and all them people in there, I mean seeing both sides of the situation and third side for gon it's understandable the way everyone feels. Also coming from episode 116 it seems understandable for ging and Gon to be alike in a way

Sam Cam

It's nonsense though, gon making that choice to give up everything is now meaningless because Kill is just like, oh btw, I have an all-granting power that's basically has zero restrictions or drawbacks. I wish he would've foreshadowed this a little.

Babybear47

Aluka saying what she says in this episode about ninika and killua is... Omg sad but love the needed talk

Babybear47

I mean another thing to think about is for what gon had to go through to actually become a hunter ging knew if he wanted to meet him he'd have to go though a lot to actually see him and for that fact it makes sense to ging not wanting to be a dad so to say. He might not want to be a dad or what not but he knows it won't be easy to want to do the things he does.

Letts React

Nah there were a LOT of people genuinely serious that he wasn’t a bad dad

Schlong Shucker

No bro ging’s obviously great dad you just clearly aren’t seeing the deeper themes

Mr_Lem

I highly recommend watching Steins Gate!!

Yuion

He is still a shit dad tho xD

Cyan_Sky9135

I'm so sad that this is almost over! It was an amazing ride and always very fun😁

Sam Cam

Are u still posting Apothecary diaries today

dannydarko27

Didn't see the upload but thanks for an early one lol Man this ep breaks me, Killua finally accepting that he can't love Alluka without loving Nanika as well brings me to tears every time

Cyan_Sky9135

Its similar to, "If you cant accept me at my worst, then you dont deserve me at my best!" line

Erin Ryan

Everytime hunter hunter pulls out the water color tears are already streaming

Collin Yakwo

4:42 I literally burst out laughing. (Btw you guys must pick Naruto for your next anime plssss)

Phoenix_mercury

Yeah I'm pretty sure Gon only used the biological relation in reference when talking about him to others(he's my father aka this is how I'm connected to him) otherwise Gon calls him ging

Phoenix_mercury

He's not a dad tho, not really 🤷 he's a father in biology only

Phoenix_mercury

This ep is a perfect example of why ging is a father in biology only, he's not a dad, not really. And it's obvious with everything we do know about ging that even he knows he's not a dad, the best thing he did for Gon was not drag him here there and everywhere his whole life which compared to... Other fathers? More need to take a page out of his book than the absolute horrors they do by staying 🤷

Matthew

I feel like you two have mistaken a lot of the Ging ""Defenders"" as all having the same argument that he's actually a Good Dad. Of all the people who have watched HxH you are one of the most reactionary when it comes to the unusual morals in this world. This is a world where a guy with Hisoka's fetishes isn't public enemy number one because he's not enough of an obvious problem for the world to condemn him like us the audience. The people saying he's a Good Dad are completely different from the people who just understand and accept that the character is the way he is.

Mary Baker

I think people who defend Ging delude themselves because they don’t realize you can still appreciate a character while hating their actions. Because they like Ging, they can’t accept his flaws and pretend there are none. Like how some Hisoka fans hated on you two for disliking Hisoka when he’s clearly written to be disliked.

DUBOIS Antoine

Part of the confusion around Ging comes from how the author treats him. We see here that Togashi is aware of how shitty of a father he is. Later on Gon even talks about him like he's a fun uncle instead. But Togashi also clearly admires the archetype of the driven man willing to abandon everything to reach his goals and so he makes Ging admirable at the same time he makes him a deadbeat dad. Ging is even more paradoxical in that what he says in the last episode also directly contradicts this.

chrstian abrham

ging is the best dad gon would ever need or wish

Zachary Mullins

putting these up for free while we wait for the yt drop is a goated move
