I say this as someone who loves Naruto with all his heart, watching Naruto while leaving out Shippuden is simply incomplete.

i’m not a haikyuu fan personally but if y’all won’t be watching shippuden after, you should probably just watch haikyuu. and naruto + shippuden is a crazy long series even with skipping filler so it’s totally understandable if y’all don’t wanna watch that

I mean I'd massively prefer naruto ofc but I do think the idea of tackling naruto unless u plan to finish it isn't a GREAT idea although I think pre time skip naruto is already a 10/10 the story simply isn't complete and ust leaves you wanting more

True, but those three shows were also much shorter.... Currently, aside Castlevania, there's nothing else to watch for me that these guys put out... Once that ends, I'll just be hanging around unless the next show on that slot is also something I would watch.

I don't think it was "moral high ground", just that Naruto is very much "of its time" and has quite a lot of things in it that just don't hit the same anymore and much of the meaning got lost over time (I grew up with Naruto, I loved it, but re-watching it was painful and I had to stop before I killed my love for something I grew up loving. It was a great show to watch as a kid, but it isn't the same as an adult and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody, but I don't have any issue if someone chose it of their own accord)

Ngl, this feels so weird since every single time I ever checked the poll Haikyuu was always one percent ahead and they were never tied, so it's so crazy to me that it keeps being tied when you checked it😂

Naruto really would have brought so many toxic fans to the channel. I watched it happen to two other patreons channels. Thats why my friends and i left the chat there and made our discord server lol but Haikyuu will do just the opposite 😌

Same for me with original naruto. Naruto shippuden is able to be enjoyed more as an adult, but yeah original Naruto, as good as it is, can be really cringe, loud, screechy, goofy, and have a lack of overall consistency in good writing. It's very up and down imo. Like the gaara stuff for example is really good, but then we switch to ino and Sakura whining over sasuke and it becomes really immature
